  • 0:52 is that in the dome?

  • The Kashtan system is better.

  • and must not forget Iranians Testing ? Supersonic Mach 3-Ballistic Missile called 'Carrier-Killer' Because of speeds typically reaching Mach 10 there are currently no ship-board defense mechanisms that could counter this type of Ballistic Missile Watch vid called "IRAN SUPER WEAPON AIRCRAFT CARRIER KILLER SUPERSONIC ANTISHIP BALLISTIC MISSILE "

  • @AllianceWithChina1 i'm sure America makes all defenses from attack public knowledge.

  • @AllianceWithChina1 rofl. A Mach 3 ASBM is relatively short ranged given its closure speed, and moreover, Iran has zero capability to provide mid-course guidance to permit a longer ranged ASBM. SM-2 Block IV and SM-6 will take out a Mach 3 ASBM going terminal with no problem.

As for Yakhont and Sunburn, ESSM will kill it easily long before RIM-116 even fires, and that is assuming the anti-ship missile somehow managed to get past the SM-6 screen.

  • US Navy has never faced anything in combat as formidable as the Sunburn missile. Try and imagine it if you can: barrage after barrage of Exocet-class missiles, which the Iranians are known to possess in the hundreds, as well as the unstoppable Sunburn and Yakhonts missiles

  • @AllianceWithChina1 thanks to the partnership of US and Germany - the RIM-116 can stop everything - Sunburn included

  • R2D2 w/ a hard on!!!

  • First, I HATE music in these videos. The gun sound is the music. Please stop inflicting us with your junior league record producer fantasy. Next, this system looks cool but what happens if they launch 50 missiles all at once?

  • @phremoney im pretty sure they have more than one installed on a ship, and the ships don't travel alone

  • Ratheon created a craft seats three. The rivets a faultie rivets. Ground this craft don't test it till fixed. Test is at UDA on friday at four pm. Hopefully ones who have knowledge of this read this.

  • I love those R2D2

  • Nice Gun but failed to notice a french exocet drop by a iraqi fighter jet , the jet was destroyed but the exocet hit the ship , agian a chinese c-802 by passed all 3 defences including the Phalanx in isreal and lebonon war of 2006

  • AK 630 is betta dan dis shit

  • laffo at the people making comments about this thing being awesome. the Phalanx is literally the modern equivalent of the 20mm Oerlikons on WWII ships trying to stop incoming kamikaze fighters. i.e. something just there to make the crew feel a little better. the Phalanx has zero chance of stopping a *modern* anti-ship missile (this includes Iran's latest). the reason the US navy hasn't dropped them is because they're already paid for so what the hell.

  • @NameNotAlreadyTaken2 funny, considering the fact that the 20mms were considered highly effective at short range by gun captains, and their total kills were second only to the 40mm quad bofors.

  • nice porn music

  • oooh pretty

  • dear santa...KEEP THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME when delivering this to the nine year old trying to get a highly thumbed comment...and id also like a new bike.

  • At Mach 12 terminal velocity the Phalanx will have around half a second to shoot it down, and then it would just turn the rifle into a shotgun and increase the amount of damage inflicted.

  • Awesome weapon ... we called it R2-D2 with a hard-on

  • XD it the statue of liberty at 1:17 on the left

  • Comment removed

  • This gun eats Iranian Speedboats for breakfast.

  • SO much for the Chinese and there ANTI Carrier Missiles

  • I heard that during the initial testing of the CWIS that it was tracking and targetting outgoing 5 inch shells from a near by 5 inch gun turret. Amazing

  • All we need now is a giant robot so we can attach it to its shoulder.

  • Bullshit

  • Song?

  • That is really only a defensive weapon that is designed to escape an attack not defend itself definitely.... sooner or later an enemy will strike the ship if it stays there.

  • CIWS Cheese

  • The US Navy ROCKS!!!!!!!

  • the problem was discovered 7 to 8 years ago. consider it solved.

  • the sunburn flys highly evasive maneuvers close to the target ship, so the targeting by the phalanx wouldn't have enough time to calculate it's trajectory and shoot it down. The Goalkeeper is able to kill a sunburn like the rest. And because it's only a softwareproblem and a bit of a radarupgrade, the phalanx should be able to kill a ss-n 22 as well.

  • @masterfistlord

The SeaRam was developed to attack Russian sizzler and sunburn missiles. You put the phalanx and SeaRam on a ship. Nothing is getting close. No nation is stupid enough to just depend on CIWS. US ships use the layered aegis system which can knock out even ballistic missiles. And every supersonic missile.

  • منتدى الدفاع والتسليح العربي .

  • nom nom nom, iranian speedboats

  • @masterfistlord this is enough for them

  • i would perfer that with both the gun and missile system together that way real world threats such as multi simutanieus missile launches the 8 missiles they carry cantake out long range threats and the gun can handle all short range

  • I want to see these weapon's system work within a real war environment, they never test them like that, its one missile and one firing, lets see multiple missiles from different directions. The Falklans showed a real world example of ships against missiles.

  • @snuden75 if you watch it shows it destoying a missile thats only just higher than the sea.

  • This weapon aint suffient to take down low flying antiship missiles like the sunburn.

  • @snuden75 ummmm that's exactly what it's built to do.

  • sorry santa, you aint getting close to this ship

  • hey guys, check out a new space shooter MMO! Its awesome!! minerwars.c om/?aid=20999

  • I want a gun as my last ditch shipboard weapon not a missile.

  • raytheon has to stop hiring india people

raytheon asia people and muslim people

  • @kmdbu What? How can it stop hiring muslim people? How would you know who believes in Islam and who doesn't? Islam is not a race.

  • @finnsia To the uneducated it is.

  • Man! Israel has an INCREDIBLE military.

Aww C'mon. You know all that shit is controlled by Israel.

  • @profnasty They are incredible brains.

  • @profnasty this is our weapon guy! HOOYAH NAVY!

  • i found this video fairly pointless.

  • @Gorrillaknuckles Yeah but it was cool.

  • pirat shoot

  • What instrumental tune is that?

  • I always thought those huge drum thing on top was the guns ammo supply, apparently its apart of the radar, i learn something every day.

  • @Grimdopple yes, me too, I though is was an ammo supply

  • SEARAM I agree should be on the Burks and Tico's.

  • actually if we place ciws along the US border and program them to shoot wetbacks it would end illegal immigration..

  • @bignalgas1

Have some placed in ports as well. You never know what will come out of a port container coming from Asia...

  • now that it can engage surface threats, is there any need for mounting the 25mm chainguns on ships?

  • @mgibbs88 yes the ship still needs hands-on weapon systems on all US ships is a big MUST!

  • i prefer kashtyn-m with duet gatling gun 30mm lol !

  • what name og missile in 1.15 and range pl ?????????

  • The America's are sitting on the largest potential oil and gas reserves in the world. China does not scare us. They would be in deep recession if they couldnt export to us. CIWS rocks! Used to work on it.

  • now i know why america is trillions in debt

  • imba.

  • I would want one on French ships if they could make a low RCS mount. It doesn't fit with our fleet of stealth.

  • i prefer russian Kashtyn-m with duet 30mm gatlin gun

  • @TATARSTAN59500 sure. and you forgot 8 highspeed AA missles on it

  • @bodyguardik american is good but russian system is stonger

  • I worry about U.S. Carriers and some other ships going to an all missile Phalanx. I know it has better range but something about a lot of bullets flying out makes me feel better than 1 or 2 missiles on a 11 missile cell. Though the SeaRam can engage multi targets at once, I really feel there should be both systems on the ships getting the missiles. I know some Allied Navy's are using both on the same ships....I'm guessing keeping your ship afloat and crew alive is a good investment.

  • Does anyone know if this CIWS is wholly or partially different from the land-based CRAM employed against indirect fire?

  • @Sorenrothschild C-RAM came from the Phalanx Navy system

  • Israeli warship had all this defenses in the 33 day war against Hezballah but the smallest Iranian cruse missile the Kosar hit the Israeli ship with one .

  • I imagine it uses tungsten penetrator rounds with tight dispersion at high velocity to assure warhead kill

  • 20mm? lol. how can THAT tiny bullet kill "Shipwreck" missle?

  • @bodyguardik Fire enough rounds at any missle and you'll take it down. 10k rounds per minute is A LOT of rounds. Gotta remember, the shells of most missles are relatively weak. Even with armour piercing missles, its the head thats re-enforced, not the sides which the phanlanx hit.

  • @bodyguardik 1 20 mm round wouldn't destroy a Shipwreck missile. But when fired at 6,000 rounds per minutes, the missile would be blown apart. It isn't like anti-ship missiles have armor weighing them down.

  • @franknbeans4761 No it sill not. Practical tests by russian Navy: it cant be stopped even by AA missle hit. More than 2 tonns of metal, 0.75 tonn of he (or 500kg nuclear warhead) will hit ship anyway. And last (but not least) thing - "Shipwreck" fluing in CLUSTERS, 1 missle is command center (fly higher and using radar, checking radio signatures of targets, etc. ), over ones is flying silently, all at 2.5 mach. Bye Bye AUG.

  • @bodyguardik AUG = i mean CVBG

  • @bodyguardik No CIWS would really effect a nuclear warhead, I will give you that. But a Phalanx certainly can stop any anti-ship missile, speed doesn't matter. It isn't meant to take on many missiles (that is what the medium & long range missiles are for) but it can destroy any incoming missile. The speed of the missile doesn't matter. Here is a good site that talks about it:

    militaryphotos . net/forums/showthread . php?144822-Large-aircraft-carriers-compared&highlight=

  • @franknbeans4761 brahmos would definately disagree on that...

  • @xtdesign I would say that the odds of it hitting and detonating it's warhead are pretty high. If that would happen then it would not destroy a ship. All ships undergo tests and have large bombs explode beside the ship. At best, I could just see it knocking off power to the ship temporarily. But that would be all.

  • Yeah! Trillion dollar deficits to pay for a trillion dollar defense budget! Yeah, blow s up! Boom! With rock and roll music! Sammy Hagar Nugent! USA, USA, USA!!!!!

  • Damn? I was just wonderind what calibre that minigun was?

  • The US Navy is so fucking pro!

  • In other news, "CWIS: Gonna fuck you up"

  • @N1cholas240 yeah but it controls america with its bonds.China could theoreticly ruin americas currency when it wanted.weapons dont often decide the battle victors either.

  • @TheSoundzUK Ah, you really have the reality switched, the United states has trillions of Chinese dollars. US could sink China by simply telling them that they aren't going to pay China back. If the US says "Your bonds are void" then *Poof* two trillion Chinese dollars simply vanishes. Granted it would ruin USA's credit rating... no one in the US really seems to care about that anyway though. It winds up that they both have eachother by the short hairs, and that is that.

  • @Rileyman2rr Google it,you will find Americas Economy would simply collapse if china wanted to,it wouldnt work the same way round

  • @TheSoundzUK You use the word "simply" to describe the unfolding of the planets most powerful economy. And is Google now a definite source of information. I use logic you use allegory, there is enough said their to negate any authority you may have on economic fighting capacity of nation-states.

  • @Rileyman2rr You really are up your own ass lmao, that will be your countries downfall.you dont have the most powerfull economy,Europe does, and china will soon overtake everybody.Does it make you feel powerful and smart using all those big words? because its just a load of over complicated shit that means simple words but makes u look smarter.not gonna continue to reply because theres no point arguing with yanks.

Go on a rescue mission and throw grenades in lmao.Nuff said

  • @TheSoundzUK I don't use "big words" to make myself look smart, I know I am not fooling anyone, It is simply the way my thought process works. "Ignorant Yanks" you're showing some real fighting spirit. Furthermore this conversation is about a nation state's economic complexity not some pissant fuck like you and your obvious irrationality. I would also like to point out that Europe as a whole isn't doing so hot, maybe Germany is, but between GB, Greece, Italy, Spain, Europe is having its problems

  • @Rileyman2rr No problems down here in GB.Just a shit government with a bunch of do gooding retards dotted around.Germany is in more shit than you know, the reason they keep bailing out the other banks is because they owe too much to the Euro. Not replying no more. And yes you obviously thought "Ill use some much bigger longer words that are more complex to show my vocabulary is far larger than this persons and then ultimately make him feel small.Nty pal cya

  • We just love a high tech kill that's what makes us proud. Part of the problem. Sick

  • Can one weapon handle multiple incoming targets? How does the weapons system discern target "A" is now destroyed and move onto target "B", etc? Will multiple targets defeat the weapon?

  • @TheBoxfitter The system was originally designed to handle the Soviet tactic of firing several missiles at once. First, any aircraft in the area attack the inbound missiles, then long range weapons, and whatever gets past those defenses is engaged by CIWS. When the radar (and complicated software) detects a radical change in direction (like the tumble you see after the missile explodes), the target is considered killed. As soon as "A" is killed, "B" is engaged.

  • @TheBoxfitter Yes, the weapon can be overwhelmed by large numbers of targets, but the gun can chew them up pretty fast and re-target with surprising speed. The number of missiles it would take to defeat it would depend on how fast the missiles are, how quickly they can be destroyed, etc. But, in order for a U.S. ship to pass a weapons test, each CIWS must be able to track and destroy two drones fired at the ship simultaneously.

  • 390bullitt1968 only in your dreams, China is not capable of such weapons, they are much less able to provide decent boots for their soldiers.

  • China has far moe advanced weapons. US government will run out of money soon, and China will take these in trade.

  • best movie ive seen in a long time :) keep it up

  • God player :)
