I support the ordinance. Frankly, it sickens me when homeless people are fed in large numbers. Who does this punk kid think he is? Even Jesus would be arrested. And rightly so. He fed 40. What the government is doing is making compassion towards the homeless and poor illegal. This is the same tactic used in Nazi Germany when Adolf Hitler made it a serious crime (illegal) to feed the Jewish people that were homeless, poor and starving (hungry from lack of or no food at all). It is basically saying if you have or show any compassion to you're fellow man or towards homeless and hungry animals you will be sent to jail for being a good hearted and loving person.
Jesus fed thousands with bread and fishes and he too was persecuted for all the good things he did. So when you're persecuted for helping the homeless and/or less fortunate, just remember the wonderful company you're in and thank God for the opportunity to be Christlike. I go to Toronto every year with a big bag of change and hand it all out within the first hour I'm there. I then buy food for anyone who says they're hungry. I've even asked several cops to pitch in and they always do.

Cudahy police came made me leave I went as far as I could and slept behind a dumpster in a box. Ever since I watch how I spend my money have strived to pay off my own property. We are so close we can taste it. We have new car paid off in a year needed quality transport there is no way around that.

Unless I am getting this story wrong the violation was the absence of license or permit to occupy public space. I think if they had taken the time to get one for a 'picnic' or whatever term they wanted to use to deter unwanted attention from the cops it would have gone off without a hitch. Just guessing. I hope they take this route in the future and continue their charitable work and continue to help the people who benefited the last time and expand.

do you have any evidence he wasn't at a library? and what kind of work is "typically offered to a homeless person"? Because many people who end without a home, either for a long time or just a short periord of time have either college degrees or specialty training.
Plus, many places including Old Navy, Petsmart, Walgreens and others all only offer an online application.

@tylersilverchoice I was turned HL when ankle was sprained OTJ wife hid the car called cops and said out. I had to hobble out on crutches. I went to nearest park to sleep on the table. Cudahy police came made me leave I went as far as I could and slept behind a dumpster in a box. Ever since I watch how I spend my money have strived to pay off my own property. We are so close we can taste it. We have new car paid off in a year needed quality transport there is no way around that.

Another thing they could do is rent or buy a motorhome or something like it and derive around and when they see homeless people stop and serve them food and keep driving. Harder to keep up with. Unless I am getting this story wrong the violation was the absence of license or permit to occupy public space. I think if they had taken the time to get one for a 'picnic' or whatever term they wanted to use to deter unwanted attention from the cops it would have gone off without a hitch. Just guessing. I hope they take this route in the future and continue their charitable work and continue to help the people who benefited the last time and expand.
