I saw the video of Susan Roesgan covering a protest rally against Bush a few years ago in New Orleans. A person made a costume head of Bush, and she reported it as comical. CNN just recently egged Romney into saying negative things about Sarah Palin and Rush Limbaugh. CNN also sucked Steele into attacking Limbaugh. CNN placed an X over the face of DIck Cheney a few years ago when he was giving a speech, and they called it "freedom of speech". If CNN had credibility it wouldn't be in last place.
Regarding the stimulus bill... I live in Minnesota and we are only getting 75 cents on the dollar from the stimulus bill.... which means our state pays out more and are getting less from the feds. But the feds will never be transparent about that.

However, x, I do want to clarify that I believe that the people who got involved in the parties were sincere in their efforts. I agree with you that media did these people a disservice, for sure. I saw the video of Susan Roesgan covering a protest rally against Bush a few years ago in New Orleans. A person made a costume head of Bush, and she reported it as comical. CNN just recently egged Romney into saying negative things about Sarah Palin and Rush Limbaugh. CNN also sucked Steele into attacking Limbaugh. CNN placed an X over the face of DIck Cheney a few years ago when he was giving a speech, and they called it "freedom of speech". If CNN had credibility it wouldn't be in last place.

If anything, my take on it is that the growing tea party crowd has pretty much had it with both parties and more than anything else represent a resurgence of libertarian values, (See my video). Right now there is a bill on the table, HR 1207. This bill was sponsored by Ron Paul and it already has 58 co-sponsors. My representative has not yet sponsored the bill. X, can you really explain WHY people got in on these tea parties? As I understand it, the tax threat was for the big businesses and that Obama's plan would eleviate the taxes for the little guy. Yet, it was the "little guys" out there protesting. But, it was not grassroots, it was paid for by big business, which is clear by the fact that there was so much media coverage. The REAL grassroots movements are ignored by the media.

That doesn't change the reason of the tea parties does it. We don't want to be taxed any more. I don't want to pay for someone's mortgage that shouldn't have gotten it in the first place. This has nothing to do with the democratic or republican parties. There were plenty of democratic protesters there too. Doesn't mean that this is a democratic or republican issue. I don't follow party lines. The were peaceful protests against taxes... that's it!
