  • nice vid, i got a 1990 fl and its nice to see a couple out of em having fun.

  • @cbrboy76 I believe the trailing one is a f-l also, the lead bike was a f-j but all the parts on it related to a f-k, odd I know but if I wanted brake pads etc I had to go for later ones as the calipers and other parts seemed to suggest the bike was slightly newer than the log-book stated ???

If you wanna see this vid in normal colour search this name in white bar (Bike Video 3 Chasing the dirty end can ) should come up with chase bikes vid (His camera on my bike filming him was the setup :)

  • .....and if I'd known he was gonna put his camcorder on my bike sooner I would have polised the stainless cans and oiled that noisey chain.....

  • CrustyBiker, what year bike is this CBR1000F?

  • @MrPman851 The Chased bike was a Chased bike was CBR1000F-J it was registered in 1989 and was on an F-plate (UK numberplate), but for some strange reason all parts for the replacement parts for the bike had to be ordered as though the bike was a CBR1000F-K... odd I know!!

Chaser bike is about 1 of two years newer (CBR100F-L)

    Hope this answers your question,,?

  • @CrustyBiker, it does! Thanks so much.

  • yeah, extremely underrated bike, love the rear pov shot

  • Very true, they don't get the recognition they deserve !... the guy following me has this vid in normal colours, its called "chasing the dirty end can" ...the YT search bar will find it.

    thanks for watching

  • I'm only guessing but I suppose Honda had a good starting point from with the 1000F to work from and on with the XX, tune the engine, change styling, add fuel injection, and you're on to a winner, can't really say I like what that they've done that with the new VFR 1200 though, think I'll take the XX

  • where are you from? i have a 88 cbr 1000f im working on. the reason i ask is ive been told here in america they did not inport the 1000f in 89 n so far i havent seen one

  • Hi, I'm from UK. Sounds odd to me, they must have imported them in 88 as you have 1 and they must have imported them later as I can't see why they would just stop all imports, so I'm not sure why it would be stopped in 1 particular year? my log book said its a CBR1000F-J which should be 88 (Made) but it was 1st registered in 89 and all the parts on it related to a CBR1000F-K (89) eg, I had newer design slip in brake pads and I didn't have the older forks with foot pump attatchment etc.....

  • @unforgivenreality Hey, I use to own an 88' here in the states...Michigan

  • NICE BIKE I HAVE ALSO 94 CBR1000F

  • Mine was an older 89 CBR1000f, I dont have mine now but I do miss it, They are excellent all rounders ! Maybe you could post a video or picture of it sometime? Thanks for watching

  • Nice video!!

Im just gonna get me one cbr 1000F so its very nice listen too the sound and dream.

    Thanks

  • Thanks for the comment!

You will love the CBR1000f they are great motorbikes, I have just sold mine to buy a ZX9r, but I still miss the CBR.

the main problem I had with it, is that it was a bit too heavy for me, but I had it four years, riding all year round.

    Very smooth cornering and acceleration.

Please send me a link if you make a video of yours when you get it,

    Regards, CrustyBiker
