In July 2001 the armed-pilot rule was repealed. Not that in the 40 years of the rule's existence did airline pilots take the training course to have a gun in the cockpit. You'd think the president who was in the Texas Air National Guard would make it mandatory that airline pilots be trained to carry a gun in the cockpit after receiving terrorist warnings.
