I really want to believe this is something insane, but I watched some videos of shuttle launches and this is what they do. And as the first set of boosters burn out, the next set fires. When they hit the atmosphere.. This is not like the spiral thing.. that's what kinda freaks me out. I feel pretty certain this is a shuttle launch. Look some up. They're easy to find.

The rocket is not going horizontally, its clearly still climbing. It is arching over the atmoshpere reacing orbit as the last stage continue adding velocity for the cargo it is caring into orbit. Where do you see that its going horizontally?

Though I may have gotten it wrong too on my early post. That is the 3rd stage with cargo separating from the 2nd. 1st stage is the booster stage that gets dump early in the ascent.

I would bet this video is actually a rocket launch with 2 clear stages stages. they are truly amazing in twilight to watch, the different colors in the tail are caused by altitude, atmosphere, and inclination to the sun.
