I think this is Tegans way of making up for how she treated Sara lats time she played drums on stage. If you watch when Sara says thank you for 'your unconditional support' Tegan gets a little of an annoyed look because last time Sara played drums they fought over how Tegan didn't support Sara at all even though it was her first time playing drums on stage.

p.s. my sister makes that same face when we fight over something and I wont drop it or hint at the subject in public or in front of our mom.

I wish I went to this show! They weren't nearly as animated when I saw them last July in Seattle... guess they don't love the northwestern crowd.  As Tegan says we "smile with our teeth." Tegan expects noise- not teeth.

seriously, every show is different! they definitely didn't hate the seattle crowd. there was still lots of chattiness... remember tegan's drunken tweets, wanting a giant cat, and making fun of sara for kissing a boy? i thought it was a great show.

I am not saying it was a bad show.  I loved it! Just from other videos (mainly yours- thanks!) they seemed less animated. But it was an awesome show!!

no, i'm just saying that i don't think they hated the crowd and i don't think that they weren't enjoying themselves! some shows they're more in *professional* mode and seem more focused on what they're playing and don't chat as much. it's not a bad thing, just different. ;) i think that since seattle was the first show for them after a long time and since they were preparing for the hollywood bowl, they were in deep concentration and more worried about getting things right...

What I took away from the show was Tegan's comment about this being the same crowd. Of course, I was grumpy that night too... not having taken the right person to experience the Quin sisters. But I see what you are saying- they did have interesting banter that night (cheese puffs!) and Sara even got into it... Can't wait to see them in P-town in April!

usually if you get there an hour or so before doors you can get in the first several rows? to be in the very front you have to get there a little earlier. :)
