  • 4:47 - its a Yurt Sale!

  • Damn all i dream is to live in a yurt but it is so expensive! I went to your website, but it seems there is no wool or any isulating cover?

  • music?

  • tnx sir you did a great work.

  • You sir, are a true artisan. Thank you for sharing.

  • @brim4799 Thank you, thats very much appreciated, I'm glad you have enjoyed what we do.

  • Thanks for the answer on that. I'm stuck on how you get the bend in the roof rib. 1:40 is what I'm talking about. I want to make on of these so bad.

  • @travisatwork01 - get the downloadable sheet from the centre for alternative technology website on yurt making.

  • @travisatwork01 steam box and a form. Not too much to it . Steam the wood until it is soft and very flexible then bend that end over something like a 50 gal drum or something with about the right diameter and let it cool.

  • How does the roof attach to the wall?

  • Each roof rib is simply tied to the trellis . There is a single cord attached to the end of each rib, which wraps around the top of the trellis (wall) and ties off with a clove hitch. Easy to do, easy to remove and very strong. The band around the top of the wall prevents the roof pushing the wall out.

  • Gorgeous woodwork.
