  • love

  • sooooo nice.. such a relatable song

  • its not a ticket for you to pick at other people who don't know whats up like you're so sure you do.... so good!!

  • This is amazing. Just saying.

  • IF you haven't listened to this whole album while on lsd you really won't understand why it is the best album ever made. just sayin. try to let it not eat your face.

  • @pauleprestarri its even better when you actually LET IT eat your face haha

  • Listen to the Beach Boys "Pet Sounds" album made in 1966 and then you'll know where they got this sound from. It's far from original.

  • @Starfin8 yeah, your right. brian wilson used samples to make pet sounds and panda bear is just a copy cat. go fuck your mother. haha

  • @Starfin8 Panda Bear has a similar singing style/voice to a few of the Beach Boys, that's true, but to suggest that Person Pitch is derivative of Pet Sounds to the point of being unoriginal to me shows a misunderstanding of the compositional elements in both records. The way Panda Bear did Person Pitch is totally different from the way Wilson & Co did Pet Sounds, and apart from his vocal style, they sound very different and great in their own way. The similarities are superficial at best.

  • @Starfin8 so whattt, the sound is alive

  • puffin on a fat blunt= this song

  • insta download

  • soo good, :) im high as fuck right now,

  • Its not a ticket ......for you to pick at......other people

  • Something about comparing Noah's solo work to his collaborative work with Animal Collective seems extremely fucking retarded to me.

  • This song is my jam. Idk how much I like Tomboy, but this song, is so flippin good.

  • Cannot get enough of this album, just brilliant :)

  • thank you 6 dislikes for making the like bar look like a j.

  • I like the picture. love the song.

  • catchy like the ramones, gentle like the beach boys, and trippy like the velvet underground, with its own twist, all wrapped up in a wall of sound

  • This song is so much better than your dumb dumb arguments.

  • At 4:03 is that a sample of a coqui frog?! Tripped me out because there are coquis where I live, I got really confused why this one sounded so close

  • i loved this album so much when it came out, and just saw this pop up and i totally dont recall it, i must not have digged it then, but something changed from then til now cuz i absoutely am digging it. it's kind of nice, like having a brand new panda bear song to enjoy :) godamnit is noah lennox ever amazing. the 21st centurys BRIAN WILSON

  • wow.......to the music ;) not these hateful posts...btw..that's a great "song story"...sincerity is a positive quality to have :)

  • Whatever you want to categorize Panda Bear as, doesn't really matter...the lyrics are solid.

  • Whats the point in pouring it all out when you guys just wear it on your coat... jeeze you guys.

  • thumbs up if you get here from Swedish meal time

  • i got here by swedish meal time :S

  • good stuff, reading peoples sob comments...C'MON!

  • high, 4th sentence.

  • minus the first is third sentence.

  • I met a lonely man in the rain and he was holding a very interesting item that he refused to let me see. The closer I got the futher he drew away. Although he said nothing, I could tell he was willing to follow me anywhere. We ended up in the most colorful place. There were children laughing, carousels, clowns giving odd glance smiles, parents with too much smile, the uncle with the awkward dance and huge piece of cake, and very manicured bushes. The best time of my life. End song.

  • this music is for smart people

  • @brlog93 Love it. Best comment so far. This world is so shitty because of the mindless beings inhabiting it. Society is as I see it is mummified decay. Though there are and always will be a select few, most of the population is very dumb. I say, get your degree, succeed, mark your name in history, but only if that mark is brought on by true genius or talent and not a learned self distorted interpretation of something. If that makes sense. Shake your style. Live not for people.

  • 5 people don't want to take it easy

  • best song yo

  • OK, listen at 4:03. The little music box sounding thing. Sounds almost exactly like the mystery gun box from COD Black Ops Zombies. Anyone else hear it?

  • @fizzy23 you mean the mystery box sounds like this right?

  • @franchisepeat Yes that would be more accurate, this song came before the game.

    shape your style

take a risk just for yourself

and wade into the deep end of the ocean

  • If only he would have separated Good Girl and Carrots, Carrots would have been the best song on Person Pitch.

  • After 3:33 thats when the magic happens.

  • Its kinda sad that only .008% of humans will hear this music, but thats the beauty of it i guess...its meant for people with great taste!

  • gett stoned

  • 3:40 over = soo good haha who knew panda had some reggae in him?

  • p&a bear

  • picture is amazing. song is awesome.

  • im digging panda bear more than animal collective

  • @TheChillLife Me, too. Animal Collective are a great band, but their stuff is more...idk, slick or something. Like, they seem more aware of the commercial possibilities of their songs. I like them, don't get me wrong. But Panda Bear solo, in particular the Person Pitch album...that was him doing whatever he wanted. I get the feeling he didn't care if more than 1/1,000,000th of the population would dig it...and that's what made it so classic.

  • @MckyMseNTarotCrds - I don't think Animal Collective has ever compromised their music to be more appealing commercially. Of course Panda's solo stuff will sound different than Animal Collective's; Animal Collective is a band where every member contributes ideas and where the possibility to explore more expansive, intricate arrangements that aren't sampler-dependent is present. That they have become popular is reflective of their talent, not them having sold out or anything. AC do what they want.

  • @DarknessHowls Bro, I never implied AC sold out. Maybe I could have worded it better...as you see in my original comment, I was struggling to get my exact meaning across. But I never even hinted at them selling out. If they have a slightly more pop sound than Noah by himself...whatever. To me, commercial, pop, words like that...they don't automatically mean "sell out." I never called them sell-outs. Writing singles is not selling out, nor is being aware of your audience.

  • @MckyMseNTarotCrds - Alright, but I still think I disagree. Animal Collective doesn't write singles, and they don't really seem to care too much about public perception of their music. The arc from Sung Tongs to MPP shows huge growth and experimentation on the band's part. The sound they developed for MPP just happened to be a bit more commercially appealing. Doesn't mean that was necessarily their goal. Anyway, though, it's a moot point. The music is good, and that's what matters. :-)

  • @DarknessHowls I agree. I love their music. But the Person Pitch album...that's just effin' incredible. Definitely one of my desert island discs. That's all I meant to say, and all I really should've said. I love AC, but Panda Bear solo just moves me more. The Collective are great though, no doubt.

  • @MckyMseNTarotCrds Do any of their songs sound like they are "radio friendly" To me they do, but then again, I hate the radio. Anywhoo, who are they selling out to? Theyve grown alot from when they first started out till now and they are still growing. Just because their music has gotten "catchier" doesnt necessarily mean they are listening and caring more about what people think. Who cares what they do? you dont know their full intentions and they are still doing what they want obviously

  • @FelizNukk24 I never said, implied, thought or farted that AC "sold out." ::exhausted sigh::

  • @DarknessHowls I think that "My Girls" could have been a hit single if it was presented as such. That song was HUGE on the indie scene, and probably would have gotten played on radio had it been released as a radio single. I agree though. Being more "accessible" and selling out and two different things. You can make your music more accessible without watering or dumbing down your musical abilities.

  • @TheChillLife Thank you for tainting my first listen to Panda Bear with unrealistic expectations. lol :)

  • @TheChillLife have you heard the song "i see you pan"...

    ...check it out

  • @TheChillLife they're both great but Panda Bear is definitely way more chill.

  • triipppy

  • panda bear is the modern betoven or mozart

  • @titmousian beethoven* and no.

  • best music to listen while riding my bike on an overcast day

  • I need to know more about this picture...

  • song story: a girl and i have had this close relationship for the past few years.. i dunno we connect so well, i feel like if she left my life, there would be something missing. we havent been together for a few months, but now there came a picture on facebook that shows us years ago walking down the sidewalk, smiling to eachother, oblivious of the camera, when we looked so much younger. for 5 minutes i sat here just now listening to the end part of this song, looking at the photo, crying.

  • @VentraleStar fag

  • @ehohkay lmao okay that time it was funny.

  • @ehohkay loll i was about to reply 'gay' but you beat me to it

  • @ehohkay Fag, n. 1. Someone who isn't hopelessly dependent on the comfortable, self-congratulatory conventions of self-conscious and vacant hipsterdom; first designated as such by cool kids who have no capacity for independent thought or discernment, and will have zero means with which to cope with the trials of life after having been stripped of the last few withered shreds of their youth. See "99% of everyone".

  • @ThineDoor3 Fag, adj. 1. you, as in "you are a fag"

  • @ehohkay queer.

  • @Wcburg1 Don't dwell on the past my dude, as hard as it is you just have to realize that there is more than one fish swimming in this giant sea we call life

  • these songs are so relaxing

    i love them!

    WAIT A SECOND DERP

  • its disturbing how good this song is

  • that was really good. what are some other good songs by thee guys?

  • @SingeTheBand

listen to the entire album person pitch. then check out the band animal collective.

  • @Kodama28 mkk i shall. so is panda bear the guy's name or something?

  • @SingeTheBand

His real name is Noah Lennox. Panda Bear was a name that caught on because he use to draw panda bears on his early cassette covers he made, or something along those lines.

  • @nirvanawg oh cooliopic

  • fuck! its 1:30, i need to go to bed...just one more listen...

  • yeah he's the lead singer for animal collecective

  • @schanelt 50%(not 100% positive about the percentage) of the singing, but he be playin dey drums too.

  • @laloali2

actually more like... 15 - 20 % of the singing.

  • @springsten didnt he do way more in mpp. well al i can tell (i might be wrong) is brother sport, my girls, daily, guys eyes. if thats it then yeah u could be right, lol. maybe also frightened too...

  • @laloali2

yeah he's been doing more and more on the later albums. he has one song on feels, three on SJ and 4 on MPP but he's not lead singing on also frightened.

  • @springsten yeah, i listened to it today. i guessed last time from memory but it aint him. you anco expert, you!

  • kinda reminds me of the shins....is there some kind of connection???? also, this is a side project off of animal collective right???

  • @sonicdino1 it's just the AC drummer. saw him perform this live in baltimore a few years back, so awesome!

  • @limosince2007 are you kidding me? This is brilliant stuff.

  • @limosince2007 0:00

Amazing, isn't it? Hope that I've helped.

  • thats a really crazy picture haaaa

  • everytime I listen to his music it feels as though other music is NOTHING compared to this. Truly Epic.

  • 2 versions of the song or what? i keep finding another really good one with this title but i want this version! any help ?

  • @yaboyeric you mean the full version Good Girl / Carrot, of which this is the second half? If not let me know the link!

  • take a risk just for yourself

  • i have important stuff to do, but this wont let me leave!! i want to live inside this song!!!

  • best song ever...Ever

  • Good stuff. No one can create music like this like Noah Lennox. Pure genius, and he isn't hot headed about it either.

  • very beach boys esque. I dig

  • @howard22

    No.

  • music snobs piss me off.

  • Genius of Pop

  • Whoa, this is tripping me out hardcore. Love Panda Bear and Animal Collective.

  • sitting here listening to this song....

    my mind travels incredible places.

  • people who dont know that panda bear is animal collective are just.. sigh.

and its a shame that this music is stereotyped to hipsters :/

  • @soupduj0ur i agree... i'm a total hip hop head, and love all kinds of music, from hardcore to electronic. Animal collective is just pop done right.

  • @flabbyballsack

pop is short for popular, and animal collective is anything but, and their music is even further from anything but. Have you heard Here Comes The Indian?! Or anything before Feels? If not, I highly urge you to.

  • Comment removed

  • @FierceSwitters experimental, dont know why i said instrumental.

  • @soupduj0ur

were you born with the knowledge that panda bear is a member of animal collective? get over yourself, your not better just because you learnt it before somebody else

  • give me the residents anyday

  • why do they sound like animal collective? haha

  • panda bear is one of the members of animal collective

  • lol Panda Bear is one of the two founding members of Animal Collective.

This cd is the reason MPP sounds the way it does

  • uhh, it's panda bear from animal collective... lol

  • FANTASTIC!

  • Ok not trying to give (too much) shit to those saying they prefer the second half, just making the observation that I find it strange to break them up. However they are identified as two songs so I guess I can see having a preference. I guess I've just always listened to it as one long ass jam. I couldn't imagine skipping ahead to the second half, just like i couldn't imagine skipping a track on person pitch. But that's just like, my opinion, man.

  • welp this kind of ruins the whole song if you dont have the beginning

  • its not a ticketttttttttttttttttt for your to pick attttttttttttttttt other peopleeeeeeeeeeeeeee who don't know whats up like your so SURE YOU Doooooooooooooooooo.... you gotta make me want to shut your MOUTH just to keep out of all those unfriendly feelingssssssssssssssssssss

  • amazing, panda bear is a genius.

  • I never knew so many people didn't like the first half of this song...I always thought the transition was the sweetest part. It's like saying you want to hear only the middle section of day in the life...

  • ya i know what you mean i like that transition a lot as well, how the bass comes in and parts fade in and out, plus thats how it was intended by the artist...

  • @pnevz - I don't dislike the first half of the song, but sometimes I'm in the mood for "Carrots" but not for "Good Girl"

I'm not sure why everyone down-voted my previous comment...I mean, exactly what about it was so bad?

  • ice cream car

  • Comment removed

  • I wish this song and Good Girl were seperated on the album. I always skip over the first four and a half minutes of the track to get to this song, which gets kind of annoying after a while.

  • yup

  • I agree the first half of the song sounds like lance armstrongs testicle plopping into a bowl of chili

  • PB > AC

  • You Schruted It with that comment, man!

  • @merk22 I do like the jonas brothers... hipster.
