  • WOW that's crazy!

  • Mi się spalił w powietrzu mój pierwszy ORLIK. Wiem jaki to ból.

  • Did you have some pins/dowels mounted to the stabilizer to prevent them from twisting ? I'm sure you have not.

Looks like the glue joint came loose, left stab twisted and was torn off by air drag.

  • where can we get a carbon tube from this size?

  • So the aluminum tube just bent in flight? That makes no sense!

I just finished the third flight on my PC-21 with the same setup you were using. I remember thinking that the tube seemed kind of whimpy for an elevator that big.

I wonder how in the world I can get in there and strengthen it now that it's all been glued together! There's got to be a way to give it some strength so I don't lose mine the same way!

  • trying to fly these low production cost ARF's at extreme airspeeds will surely result in an airframe overstress or control surface flutter leading to it's demise. These manufacturers compete with better quality manufacturers to simply overtake the market share. This is happening with RC Jets also - many structural failures. The bottom line is the quality of your landing is directly proportional to the price you pay for your airframe. Composite ARF makes a Tucano - it is pricey but worth it.

  • I Lost Mine As the Same Way. Structural failure in the Elevator... i had a Scorpion 4035-630 with a 4:1 gearbox and a 17*22" 3blade Propeller at 12s. the Aluminium Tube was still in Place, but the rest of the
