WWI & WWII: only open fire when the enemy plane fills out your front window - Adolf Galland. Or a unknown WWI Pilot: After landing my plane, I recognized the bloodstains from the enemy pilot on my jacket.
Hey i was just wondering here What are those hammer-like Things on the right side of the machine guns? I've never seen those before. If they are some kind of an earlier version of the hammer could someone please tell me? I'm just wondering here but i've never seen that before.
yes they should make it a highest priority to add virtual arms in cokpit so i can feel like an octopus. yes, my arms + virtual arms, that would be so great...
Anyone know how to program the slider on a joystick to work as the throttle in Rise of Flight?. I just got my copy yesterday and I can't find a way to do it. In the "Input" section of "Settings" I'm not able to make any changes at all. What can I do. I don't like using the keyboard to do my thottle.
Ha! But Richtofen got tossed around in his plane like a ragdoll, had his life on a thread, and when he died he didn't get a 'game over' message and a 'retry' option.
All I'm saying is, games will forever be games, no matter how hard they try to be realistic.
i seriously suggest some studies before teaching stuff to students. The long horizontal thiggy covering upper screen view of sight is no way is Rudder(yes "Rudder" is the original spelling). - a rudder is the vertical fin that normally used in airplanes to produce side thrusts while wings are used to produce "lift".
if u r thinking abt elevators(yes these r used on wings - front or tail), i think this ww-I era biplane is so primitive that it does not use elevators.
The perspective is weird, its as if the farther away something is, the wider the angle lens is seeing it. Its really noticeable on the lower wing, take a look at the same lower wing at 2:03 and at 2:08, one is narrow, the other is wide. And the background seems weird when the plane is on its side compared to level flight, not how I see the world oe see it move when I'm sideways.
Yeah, it is. The perspective is adjustable with the mouse wheel - this looks like it's zoomed all the way out. This video was made without TrackIR (just the mouse moving around), so I think they needed the wider field to see everything :)
Wow dude easy on the trigger o.o

is it free after buy disk? or monthly payments?
bigbob6556 2 years ago
Free, but as of now, you have to purchase more planes if you want them, not just download them. But that is not required.
ShastyMcNastey 2 years ago
That's some impressive flying, especially considering there doesn't appear to be a pilot anywhere in the cockpit.

Yeah, but is it worth the potential extra FPS hit? Maybe sometime we'll get an option though, that would be nice!
StarTux 2 years ago
@fknwtf actually not. not a bit of taktics and 10 second fire bursts...
NKCrime 1 year ago
@NKCrime Agreed... Looks more like he was aiming in the other plane's general direction and spraying in hopes of getting a few hits.

I had that issue with my X45, click on the control option then slide the throttle when that window appears, should pick up the "axis".
Stray03 2 years ago
Thanks but I got it figured long ago. I had to create a new file as the original is read only.

Probably the best non-arcade-like simulator of WWI Biplanes around.
They even got the aiming right. Going to be hard to hit anything, and trace your target if he banks.
Try to beat Richthofen's score of approx. 72-80 kills.

@Colliecool
1. it's more like 72-100, but the usual estimate is 80 because the other 20 were never confirmed even for propaganda purposes.
2. Over 2 years without respawning and allowing only 1 defeat?

No, a rudder is called a rudder. It is ATTACHED to the vertical stabilizer.
