Images like these always remind me of pictures of the ww2 blitz, and in a lot of ways, they're similar. Thriving communities devastated. Centres of production destroyed. Both done by rightwing maniacs. Nightmare. Very moving video.
Many thanks for this ... my grandfather was a miner in Nantymoel, first went down the pit aged 15 to look after the ponies, turned hewer to earn more money.
Awwwww, that's really sad. :-( I was 14 when the Wyndam Western closed down. a community changed forever.
