  • I did the exact same thing about two months ago. I bought an Antec 300 case, modded it out, moved my components from the old case to the new one, took two hours to do cable management, and I SHORTED OUT my $150 motherboard the same way you did (two stands with without screws).................it's kinda like the TWILIGHT ZONE.... FREAKY...........

  • @karpetdawg123 yeah exactly, I hope Gigabyte will repair it for me without any charge, I only have this board for less than 2 year... Did you get your old mobo repaired or just got a new one?

  • @geoisonfire I bought my mobo second hand, so I just ran out and got the cheapest thing I could find, can't live without my computer. I don't know if Gigabyte will repair it, don't tell them that was your fault it shorted out, just use the 'I turned it on, and it didn't work' defense.

  • @karpetdawg123 yea thx. I wont let them know it was my fault. :)

  • Sucks your board died, but hey its a good opportunity to upgrade lol. I just got a M4A79XTD EVO open-box for really cheap, should be able to find it open-box for around $80-90. I'm using it with Corsair XMS3 DDR3 and so far it works great.

  • @AgentHydra yeah, I really love to get M4A79XTD EVO, but I can't afford ddr3 ram now... might just get a cheap ddr2 mobo for now. After I get the old one repaired, I am goona sell it and then prolly upgrade to ddr3
