wow! That boxer is doing well against the larger size and weight of the Ridgebk...not to mention the killer nails of the RR, too! Fun to see them expend all of that energy on each other...ha! good exercise. Thanks for good dog-watching footage! Your Ridgeback is a beautiful animal! Love those expressive eyes! -from Minnesota

When you consider that all wild canines, whether they be wolves or coyotes or jackles, have an upright ear, then cropping is just a means of regaining that form. An upright ear does aid sound location and it also prevents ear infections, which are common only in floppy eared dogs, by allowing the flow of air into the ear canal. And if you've ever had an ear infection you know it hurts like hell. The discomfort from surgery is short term and the dog benefits for the rest of its life.
Unless you plan on raising those pups yourself or have a bunch of trusted owners lined up, I would not recommend that course of action, regardless of how "attractive" the dogs might be. Breeding is not some backyard, homebrew operation. You are bringing lives into the world, and these lives need to be cared for. Consider how many lives are ended in crowded shelters each year due to irresponsible breeding.
it's "considered", I live in an area where I have plenty of takers for a couple of batches of puppies..plus (If needed, my home could house up to 6 large dogs with plenty of exercise opportunity..any with 'disabilities" I would be prepared to take on as my dogs)
my wife is in the Pet industry (relocation/international transport), her brother owns a very successful vets-practice, and my best-friend is a registered-breeder of boxers and French-bulldogs who plans to "partner" me on this idea.
The boxer is the best friend of my dog. Even they are both males they like to meet and play together. Mostly they play very rough. For outsiders it looks sometimes like a fight but everything is under their control.
This must be a European posting because that's the first Boxer I've ever seen with a long tail. Seen a couple of long tailed Dobermans but never a Boxer. I think the laws in most Euro countries now prohibit tail docking and ear cropping. Really changes the look of the dogs a lot. Here in America few people crop Boxer ears now but they still all lose their tails. Seeing more flop-eared Great Danes and Dobermans also.
Funny how you get accustomed to a certain look. If I see a Boxer or a Doberman with a long tail it seems odd, but a Ridgeback or a Great Dane look fine. Ridgebacks are basically hounds, albeit they do have unique qualities as family protectors, and they look good with flop ears and long tails. But a Doberman or a Boxer to me will always be a dog that should have cropped ears and a docked tail. That's how I knew them growing up in America and that's how I like to see them now.
Genau wegen diesen Augen ist der Rhodesian Ridegeback mein Traumhund :D

Its nice to see that the boxer can handle the semi rough play. When my RR does this to most other dogs they brick it and hes just playing

Yes, they are incredible. I have the comparison to other dogs in the family and I would never choose another dog for me than a RR.
