  • Holy shizz, those are some awesome effects! So these all come from the Line6 UX2, right? not apple garage band?

  • it seems that some of the viewers are facing the same problem with me, which is no output from the mic. Anyway, i'm using the normal dynamic mic (wharfedale) and cubase. Do need to do any setup in cubase in order to get the input from the mic?

  • @StudioSetinggan I read something just earlier about it being, "a pain learning how to switch the channels from your computer's soundcard to the interface," or something along those lines. I personally don't know anything about it.

  • Does the UX2 have Phantom Power?

  • @BlackSGMan Yes it has

  • @BlackSGMan By the way if you wanna hear what it sounds like, go to see on my page Liberta covered by me with the ux2

  • Do yall think this would make my vocals sound better? Check it out, let me know

  • I've got the UX2 hooked to my W7 laptop. The guitar input works great, however, the mic inputs product no sound with my SM57. It's very frustrating.

  • @AGB1954 It should work, I also have the UX2 on my W7 laptop, everything works, check the sound, volume or the entry (Mic 1)

  • well at least this review worths the time to watch it so we can see what we are going to buy.

  • This vid is epic dude! Xd greetz from Rotterdam!

  • oh man this video sounds so much better with some fucking music in the background

  • lol you hear all sorts of silly shit while recording vocals in the studio, whats the big deal peeps lol

  • BAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH!

  • what's that program called that you used for the voice?

I only have podfarm 2, ableton lite and reason

  • @ArsiekDHOL Same thing for me

  • @ChristHell91

hey I found something it's called gearbox, you can download is from line 6 website

  • did i catch a 9er in there were you calling from a walkie talkie

    5:06

  • Oh I want it now

  • Whahahaha! really funny :P

  • I'm using the same one with you , but sadly , I have trouble with the noise... from my laptop . If I use the battery only , it seems better , did you use some other equipment between your mic and computer?

  • nice review ;)

  • damn this is awesome. really like the megaphone :P

  • its a win win situation

  • does this have phantom power?

  • @ThatJustHappened14 It has 48v phantom power.

  • this guy is awesome!

  • hey ! i bought the ux2 yesterday but the problem is that i cant get any signal from my mic to the ux2 , i used quiet cheap mic but it seems to b working with my guitar amp , can u help me figure out whts the problem??

  • @pampi166 iam in the same boat have no idea why

  • can i plug in a keyboard into this? :O

  • are u running a mac or pc?

  • *mixer

  • can i run the Line6 UX2 to a mixe, for example to a Behringer XENYX 1002 ? :D

  • how about letting us hear just....GOOD VOCAL! ALLTHAT OTHER CRAP NOBODY USES !

  • lmao funniest review ever

  • if you're using both inputs at the same time on the unit, does it come out as stereo or mono when it goes to the recording software? Thanks for any help.

  • YEAAAAH ...:))))

  • It would be good if you actually sang on some of them or hit some notes other than going "Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh"

  • CMOWN DOWN TO NAYSHVIYLL ! ! ! LOL

  • do you recommend using gearbox preamps or is it loud enogh without running the software?

I'm thinking of buying an sm57 to mic my gutiar amp and don't know if it is enoughh loud....

great demo by the way ;)

  • is it possible to record your voice in fruityloops with this?

  • i want to record my whole band with this? Is it possible? We have 2 guitars, vocal, keyboard, bassguitar and drum.

  • @EnnioGames Are your drums electric or acoustic? If they are acoustic then you will have to mic it up and then connect them all into one multi track or something and then connect that to the pod.

  • if you wanna record with this, feks in Audacity, how do you do that?

  • Also, can I make an effect in my computer and then "install it" to the pod ux2 and use the effect without having the pod ux2 connected to my computer?

  • How do you change the vocal sound effetcs?

  • wich is the diference between the red one and the black one? and my ux2 didnt came with this, it just came with pod farm, riffworks, reason adapted and live lite

  • hahaha love this review ...

  • And that was an idiot! Yeeeah! A big idoit! Yeaaah!

  • @grevmivios I have a ux2, and yes it does have phantom power to the 2 xlr inputs. That's why I got one, actually. :)

  • Holy shit this review made my day bahahah!!!!:D

  • @0XxstevenxX0 hahah sure did

  • lol @ nashville

  • @mytrashcompactor hey man, that sounds awesome! I've never recorded vocals with my UX2, well, at least not seriously (A blanket tent in the middle of the living room is not a studio) =P. Hey man, i got a question: I have two mics, the SM57 and 58. Even though the 57 box says "instrument mic", it sounds pretty good in your video. Do you recommend using it for vocals or using the 58, whose box says "vocal mic" ?

  • has it got middi in

  • Comment removed

  • would i need this is to get my pod xt to record guitar onto an iMac?

  • can you create your own demos with the ux2 and can it be used with guitar-rig..many thanks..cool vid 5*****

  • Do you have to own a seperate mic for this?

  • Can this also work with amplitube and guitar rig

  • warm n' cleanman

  • 1) Hold your breath.

    2) Copy all of these steps.

    3) Go to two other video.

    4) Paste it in the comments.

If you can do all of this without breathing you're a good pot smoker

  • haha this guy have a coool voice

  • Excelent video ¡ . I like a lot the vocal effects. the question is : the model Studio UX1 have the same feature ?? the same software and effects????. And can I connect my synthesizer to UX1 for recording ???Thanks

  • @bufalopoderoso The UX1 is lacking the XLR input for microphone. I'm sure you could still use an XLR to 1/4 in. jack converter and just plug it into the guitar input though. I don't know if it would sound as good.

  • @bufalopoderoso Wow nevermind. I was completely wrong. The UX1 does have XLR input. As far as the software goes it uses Pod Farm. The GX, UX1, and UX2 all use the same Pod Farm. Yes, you can do this just the same with a UX1. Save yourself some money and just buy that one, unless you need more inputs.

  • Nice review thanks for zooming the ux2 :)

  • did the USB cord come with the UX2 or did you have to buy it separately?

  • Great video are you able to record multiple vocals and instruments and layer them? thanks.

  • great video I have two questions still. Can you record multiple vocals and instruments as well as instruments? Also are you able to edit each vocal sound effect?

  • Could i use this as interface to plug in my amp mic (sm57) so I can record my guitar it into the computer through the mic'd amp?

  • thanks a lot for the video

  • This is very decent of you to take the time and do this. It's helped make my decision with what interface to purchase. Cheers

  • Hey, can you use the analog outputs to plug in speakers? i'm considering buying it but i wanna know if it could serve as a mini soundboard-ish.

  • Which microphone would you recommend for vocals?

  • I recorded all of my band's songs with Line 6 ux2, take a look at the sound quality. Myspace dot com cloudsovernormandy

  • @Julome how and what did you record the vocals and guitars with?

  • @justinhall954 Guitar rig, using line 6 ux2!

  • i just got the ux2 how do i record on pod farm???

  • i can say i was quite honestly lol'ing at this

  • Do these vocal effects come standard with the toneport, or do you need to purchase an add-on?

  • HAHAHA You are hilarious... this is very helpful. I'm thinking about getting an audio interface and no idea of which one to buy... I will consider this as a good choice thanks to ur entertaining demo. Thanks!

  • lmao.

  • Is it possible to record a guitar track and a vocal track simultaneously in two seperate tracks in a DAW like 'Cubase' using this unit?

  • does Line 6 POD Studio UX1 with POD Farm have a lot of guitar effects?

  • Do I need to connect a jack in my computer line-in to listen and record through PC or only the USB cable?

  • Could u speak slower?

  • what are you using to record the sound? (with the video?) and how do you connect the ux1/2 to the pc (ok using the usb connector). Ive just bought a UX1 and have been doing the same as you.. I want to record acoustic guitar and vocal, but haven't worked out how to record with post fx

  • Iiiiiim in the treeench! hahha

  • can I add reverb with this software/ audio interface ?

  • @nexlon yes. :)

  • @nexlon Yes

  • and this is hilariously helpful. hil-arious-ly... help-ful. lol

  • Nice baby

  • LOL that was hilarious. Thanks for the good laugh :)

  • do you can hear your voice over your pc monitors if you speak ??

  • @WaldebeatZ , Yes you can monitor with headphones or pc monitors, pre or post fx.

  • @mytrashcompactor all right thanks

  • can i also yoúse kondesator mics ?

  • @WaldebeatZ , Yes it has balanced inputs and phamtom power so you can use a condenser mic.

  • I am hearing some background noise. Was that from UX2?

  • @DDentonas, it was my loud G5 computer fan, air conditioner or some other outside noise...was not in a studio setting.

  • So its a usb audio interface. How to use it properly if i wanted to do a recording with a guitar? Do i plug it in into a laptop line in or plug it to the usb??

  • @JohnTeoCH, it uses usb interface, not line in on your computer.

  • @mytrashcompactor what's the name of the cd software that comes along with this?

  • does is have like harmonizer......like the digitech vocalist live?

  • Entertaining video... Well done.

  • was the reverb really necessary..?

  • LMAO NICE............

  • Very nice demo, thanks.

I have Magix Music maker that has a midi editor and responds to midi controller, allowing to play vsti instruments - can I use Line6 Toneport KB37 as a midi controller for the Midid editor part of Magix Music Maker?

  • what micro useless changes

  • "how does rockabilly go.....neenenhaaneeaha" XD

  • cool :))))

  • if u use this for your guitar can u only get sound through ear phones, or can u get sound out of your speakers???

  • Thanks for the demo... now I know I won't buy this product.

  • hey dude can you teach me how to get the harmony effect that is like double-guitar when you play if you don't know what i'm talking about listen to the intro of the song indians by anthrax is like double guitar please reply

  • gay way to go ....fuck! waste of my time

  • erm...some singing samples would be pretty nice...but you can't call this "singing" lol

  • nice dude!!

and if i should use the wah wah for example from 1:30 to 1:40 how do i get that??

and my effect pedals can be connected to the UX1, with this i won't need the amp anymore right??

  • I think it'd work if you sang... like properly, but nevermind

  • The software shown here comes along with the equipment, correct?

  • 1. How did you get that software shown on here?

    2. I can't get my mic to work with my UX2, is there something special you need to do to set the ux2 for vocals? or should you just be able to plug in the mic and go?

  • @owlertheprowler No, I just made sure I loaded the software first. I have an older G5, not one with an Intel processor. It was plug and play for me.

  • @mytrashcompactor ok thanks, i figured it out too, just forgot to switch it to Mic 1 haha

  • @owlertheprowler

The software came bundled with it...it's called Gearbox...Install that... As far as your microphones, you have to configure those in your input menu...You have several... Mic 1, Mic 2, Instrument 1 Instrument 2, Stereo in, Mic Stereo in....if you are using the first mic input, it will be Mic 1 respectively. Are your mics phantom powered? If they are...the 48v phantom power needs to be on. Most recording mics require phantom power.

  • @owlertheprowler maybe u need phantompower?

  • @owlertheprowler phantom power on the mic maybe?

  • I dont get it.if I buy the ux2 I get this software?what is this software and what about that "Pod Farm"?

  • has anyone else had a slight problem with treble loss when using the usb out? the headphone/moniter outputs it isnt a problem with, just the usb... any help here?

  • lol you must've had a LOT of caffeine before recording this. Nice demo of all the effects, though.

  • @bilbomarks It is a pro-sumer piece of gear. I would not consider it professional. It's great, just not professional quality.

  • so do you think any of the presets are worhtwhile or is it better to just tweak one out yourself?

  • Presets are great to get a basic sound and then adjust from there.

  • I love this lolol

  • can i use this ux2 on my acid music studio 7.0??

  • "YEAH!" rofl

  • you talk like a young tom brokaw

  • lol i laugh a lot gonna try this when it came :)

  • Very helpful your video thanks.. but does it only work with guitar or bass? I mean, i want to record voice, guitar, but also a microkorg xl synth.. is it possible?

  • it is.

    ive recorded vocals,guitar and bass

for a keyboard,i plugged a gutiar cable out of it and into an amp, then i mic the amp

  • "1968 Groove" is a bass tone dude...

  • Come on down to Nashville, ya hear.

  • Hello, nice video man! Let me ask you something!

so is it possible to use the line 6 ux2 with another software than the gear box? maybe guitar rig or amplitube? that would rock!! thanks a lot!!!

  • I could not tell you if it would work with those but I am guessing it would....I know it works with garage band because that is what I use. Maybe someone else here might know and be able to help?

  • what program did you use to record your voice?

  • @hiladelphia idk about what he used, but i use audacity and acoustica mixcraft

  • it does

  • thanks :)

already bought it, hope it comes soon!

  • great vid :D Show the Vu meters also the output sound ? (From a pc) or only the input sound (mic. etc. )

  • Great vid, very useful. Have you tested this unit out with a better mic ? Maybe a condenser with pop filter set up at a uniform distance from the sound source . Thanks :o)

  • This video was to give an example of the different FX available. It was not made to show the quality of the mic or sound. It is ruff and does have pops and a crappy guy on vocals, me. I had the mic in my hand while I switched through the different FXs.

Sure a mic stand and a pop filter with a good vocalist will drastically improve the sound quality. Thx for your input.

  • I gathered the gist of the video as it was self evident :oP . My question still stands ;o)
