Subtract 205 from 267 is 62mph. $2188475/62mph = $36910 per each mile per hour over the ZR1. Now one could do a cost ratio analysis on the other cars, and could easily see that the vette is the best priced super car. I would much rather have the vette
Where is this!? A public road that has banks built for high speed? Germany? This is probably the only video where I didn't see any danger in someone going 205 mph on a public road. I'm not disputing your time at the ring, I'm disputing your knowledge of Corvettes which is minimal simply from a logistics standpoint. Also that you claim drag racing is for amatuers. Drive a car that hits 130 mph in only a 1/4 of mile and then make that statment. Then try one that hits a140+ mph in a 1/4 and then make that statement again. You wouldn't because the acceleration would have you holding on for your life.

You are right, i don't know many about Vettes, but i know many about ZR1, ZO6. Im not fun as you can see, of american cars, but I simply love Corvettes. I'm not saying that C6 is absolute shit, it's just not track day car. I have been driven in few C6s, and they dont give me safe stability like very stiff and weekly driven EVO / STI / or NSX. I would rather give 25,000 more for ZO6, IMO. Have a nice day.
@2jzgtejza80 I agree 100% that the base is not a track car. If you are living at the Ring, it would not be a great choice for that so I understand your position a little bit better. A C6 with the Z51 package might be a little more to your liking on the Ring. Believe all of us would love to take a trip on the Ring. I know that I would. Not so easy to go from the US to the Ring and get a car to make a run, but I would love to do it atleast once.

I recently drove, Supra NA, and it's fucking slow car, handles like shit, I'm also looking for Supra TT, but that car is not good track day car. So I believe one day maybe Lotus, or something like that. If I ever get enough money for ZO6, I would buy it, until that maybe something crazy like Caterham, Westfield...

I'm pretty sad about that, when I was kid (something about 14-15) i was thinking that Supra is really fast car, then one day i came to race track, and little Lotus Exige 260R Cup outhandle me. Before few years I was a uneducated kid, these days I'm finished university and I realize that engineering is not simple as many kids think. Automotive engineering is complicated as any part of science. Experience is most important, and I'm still young for that.
again 1/4 mile racing is only in fucking US, in Europe we care only about handling, and average speed on race track. not top speed. 90 % people in EU only care about handling , because we have more curve roads than US. When you need almost every day drove to work 60 km at road with 200 curves, that's handling.

They are laser welded, first mass produced car to use that technique was the 2006 ZO6 BTW, hydroformed aluminum fram rails with magnesium subframes and engine cradle. Also the engines have Forged Titanium rods which are the most expensive rods you can purchase. Yet, the car is cheaply made. Now you mention motorcycles. Get out of here kid.

@parrish001 They are documented as one of the most reliable performance cars that are built but you claim it breaks. Ferraris have their share of problems as well as Porsche vehicles only a few years ago. M3s had major engine problems and M5 engines have major oil coking problems where it becomes so hard that it must be drilled out. I see all of the TSBs in my software and work on many different cars so I stay very much in tune with common problems. Technical people know about these issues.

Also tell me about the TR6060 and engine internals since you know so much about them and they are cheaply made according to someone that knows nothing about them. We won't get into the Magnetic shocks also used on the Ferrari 599 with the fluid developed by a GM company.

@parrish001 If you have researched the car then you would know about it's higfh standard provided by OWNERs in consumer reports. I have actually worked on several Corvettes and the owners love them. You can feel the way you want, but don't come here saying that a car is cheaply made when you know nothing about how it's made or the materials used. The GTR Jig Welded stamped steel unibody is very common and cheap method of building cars. Feel free to go read about it.
Corvette C6 LS3 have set best time on Nurburgring almost same as New Nissan 370Z it's about 8:05.
FYI Subaru Impreza WRX STI doing 7:55, and EVO 8 MR320 almost under 8 mins. Also Ford Focus RS-500 totally destroy C6 1/4mile or cornering, handling, and it's FWD and cost 10,000 $ less than base C6.
HANDLING is MOST IMPORTANT, 1/4mile races are for noobs, and kids.

You are seriously way off on specs. None of those cars come close to a low 12 second car which is a fact. 100% of those cars will see the street and none of them have a chance in the real world against a base C6 LS3 plain and simple. Times by professsional drivers have no translation to buyers.
@2jzgtejza80 BTW, the LS2 C6 ran the Ring in 7:59 and it is signifantly slower than the LS3 C6 Corvettes. There is no track that shows the 370Z within several seconds of a C6. The 2011 Mustangs ran within 1/10th of an M3 which is why the 2011 GT wasn't even compared to the 370Z like the previous year.
@parrish001 I was a Mercedes Benz tech for several years, do you have any idea how much plastic is in the interiors that most of us broke on a regular basis doing evaporators? Just because it looks fantastic and stylish doesn't mean it is durable and not made of plastic. If you actually spend more time touching them and pulling them apart vs looking at them, it would make a significant difference.

When the 2011 911 Variable vane Turbos failed during testing against the ZR1, did that make them junk? Wait until that happens when the warranty expires and the bill exceedes several thousand dollars. There are several different interior packages for the Corvette so the fact that you have seen one is meaningless.

@parrish001 Most of those problems are not related to the ZR1 specifically and are easily repaired unlike a 20K transmission that was blowing up in the GTR which caused Nissan to be dragged into federal court.
Transmission in GT-R ia made by Borg Warner, and it's pure shit. All Japanese parts on that car works perfectly, except american-made g-box. I'm giving vote for much better semi-automatic made by ZF, Getrag in 7-spd version. GT-R is good car but far from something what i expected. Also ZR1 didnt have any problem that include thousands of $ to fix.

Where is this!? A public road that has banks built for high speed? Germany? This is probably the only video where I didn't see any danger in someone going 205 mph on a public road. Drive a car that hits 130 mph in only a 1/4 of mile and then make that statment. Then try one that hits a140+ mph in a 1/4 and then make that statement again. You are right, i don't know many about Vettes, but i know many about ZR1, ZO6. Im not fun as you can see, of american cars, but I simply love Corvettes. I'm not saying that C6 is absolute shit, it's just not track day car. I have been driven in few C6s, and they dont give me safe stability like very stiff and weekly driven EVO / STI / or NSX. I would rather give 25,000 more for ZO6, IMO. Have a nice day.

A C6 with the Z51 package might be a little more to your liking on the Ring. Believe all of us would love to take a trip on the Ring. I know that I would. Not so easy to go from the US to the Ring and get a car to make a run, but I would love to do it atleast once.

I'm pretty sad about that, when I was kid (something about 14-15) i was thinking that Supra is really fast car, then one day i came to race track, and little Lotus Exige 260R Cup outhandle me. Before few years I was a uneducated kid, these days I'm finished university and I realize that engineering is not simple as many kids think. Automotive engineering is complicated as any part of science. Experience is most important, and I'm still young for that.

again 1/4 mile racing is only in fucking US, in Europe we care only about handling, and average speed on race track. not top speed. 90 % people in EU only care about handling , because we have more curve roads than US. When you need almost every day drove to work 60 km at road with 200 curves, that's handling.

Ferraris have their share of problems as well as Porsche vehicles only a few years ago. M3s had major engine problems and M5 engines have major oil coking problems where it becomes so hard that it must be drilled out. I see all of the TSBs in my software and work on many different cars so I stay very much in tune with common problems. Technical people know about these issues.

Hell, nothing is even hands on to know the specifics of the chassis or brakes either. So I don't really understand your accusations.

I have a hard time talking about technical things with a non-technical person. You say that the Corvette is cheaply made, but yet didn't know what the car was made of or how it is assembled or any details about the materials used. It is far from cheaply made. @parrish001 If you have researched the car then you would know about it's higfh standard provided by OWNERs in consumer reports. I have actually worked on several Corvettes and the owners love them. You can feel the way you want, but don't come here saying that a car is cheaply made when you know nothing about how it's made or the materials used. The GTR Jig Welded stamped steel unibody is very common and cheap method of building cars. Feel free to go read about it.

Corvette C6 LS3 have set best time on Nurburgring almost same as New Nissan 370Z it's about 8:05.
FYI Subaru Impreza WRX STI doing 7:55, and EVO 8 MR320 almost under 8 mins. Also Ford Focus RS-500 totally destroy C6 1/4mile or cornering, handling, and it's FWD and cost 10,000 $ less than base C6.
HANDLING is MOST IMPORTANT, 1/4mile races are for noobs, and kids.
Like i said before, ZR1 and ZO6 (Zo7pack) RULE, else other is JOKE.

You are seriously way off on specs. None of those cars come close to a low 12 second car which is a fact. 100% of those cars will see the street and none of them have a chance in the real world against a base C6 LS3 plain and simple. Times by professsional drivers have no translation to buyers.

@2jzgtejza80 BTW, the LS2 C6 ran the Ring in 7:59 and it is signifantly slower than the LS3 C6 Corvettes. There is no track that shows the 370Z within several seconds of a C6. The 2011 Mustangs ran within 1/10th of an M3 which is why the 2011 GT wasn't even compared to the 370Z like the previous year.

@parrish001 I was a Mercedes Benz tech for several years, do you have any idea how much plastic is in the interiors that most of us broke on a regular basis doing evaporators? Just because it looks fantastic and stylish doesn't mean it is durable and not made of plastic. If you actually spend more time touching them and pulling them apart vs looking at them, it would make a significant difference.

@parrish001 I'm a guy who owns a repair business and works on cars 7 days a week and not just reads about them online. Top gear testing is a joke. When the 2011 911 Variable vane Turbos failed during testing against the ZR1, did that make them junk? Wait until that happens when the warranty expires and the bill exceedes several thousand dollars. There are several different interior packages for the Corvette so the fact that you have seen one is meaningless.

@parrish001 Most of those problems are not related to the ZR1 specifically and are easily repaired unlike a 20K transmission that was blowing up in the GTR which caused Nissan to be dragged into federal court.

Transmission in GT-R ia made by Borg Warner, and it's pure shit. All Japanese parts on that car works perfectly, except american-made g-box. I'm giving vote for much better semi-automatic made by ZF, Getrag in 7-spd version. GT-R is good car but far from something what i expected. Also ZR1 didnt have any problem that include thousands of $ to fix.

Will wait on mods, need to learn to learn how to corner faster first. WAY different than RWD. Really tightens up on throttle lift. several vids here of Subis spinning or going off to the inside on lift.
