i don't know the exact specs of my comp but i think it's a gts 250 tri core (if that's possible) and it runs this game like crap, wtf? and btw i just plugged in an external hard drive of 100gb if that makes a difference

hey guys im running call of duty 4 on my computer that runs about 55 fps when playing on promod and goes to about 20 in smoke but usally varies around 55-40

heres my specs

intel pentium 4 single core 3.0 ghz

(i think dual core cuz two graphs per cpu graphs look different measurements

ATI radeon X300/X550/X1050 series

i know that processors form around 08 because most games fron late 08 early 09 say intel pentium 4 3.0 suggested

will upgrading my graphics increase my fps?

that's a fake...... it can't work on a single core processor, because you have have 9600GT card. The 9600GT card is for a PCI-Express system and a single core is for a PCI system , they can't work together .

could you tell me the model of your intel core 2 duo, i know its an LGA 775 socket but whats the clock speed? and also what is the make of your graphics card? Xfx? gigabyte? etc etc..

the only thing i can think of as to why it runs slow is probably your graphics card but it should be able to run it fine :S

it deffo would own my system :P but this system cost £120 and the gfx card £50 off ebay, pretty damn cheap for the performance it outputs. I can run pretty much any game maxed out including crysis (yeah in 15fps..) but really alot of games run fantastic, COD runs at 80-100fps maxed out and ive had fear 2 running happily at 60-70fps even at highly intense scenes, I know its bottlenecking but for a non budget system and a cheap find. Itll do for now :), Thx for the comments anyway mate

Yeh, but 1GB of Ram isnt really alot. Especially for Intense so Serious Battle scenes. You shouldnt want to play on Cod MW2 on xbox 360 graphics. They blow. If you did have the extra money put it towards your memory.
