We have a 220 amp bolt in kit for $449. You can try to adapt in a GM unit yourself, or you can buy our kit that is ready to go for $449. We also use a larger late model housing that has much better cooling and WAY better low RPM output than an old school GM 12si alternator. Our unit does 135 amps at idle, and you won't get anywhere near that with a 1 wire small case GM unit.
u guys would know ... i have a mazda 323 with stock atl . id like to add another but i want to use a common case like the old 1 wire GM alts.. i know id have to fab up some brackets but how would i wire the GM alt into my system ?
