Can you make video tutorial for little advanced use of Ubuntu terminal? Just like ./configure, make install, etc.. ? I'm noob for Linux, today I founded those commands, but I'm sure that I have miss something huge :)
@JohneyBlue hey, I'd love to make another tutorial video although I admit it's been a long time since I've used Ubuntu regularly. It'll take sometime as I try and bring together some content and as I make it but I'd love to get one up in the next few weeks :)
so any program can be installed by the terminal or the package manager? i have wasted about 6 hours trying to install a bin file and have had no luck.... its an open source Point of Sale program for my store i downloaded from souceforgenet and i tried to install like 5 different programs and i have decided that its me that doesnt know how. where should i start. so that i can learn the ins and outs... i just watched you basic command video and i really learned alot
It's just the terminal which you can find in one of the application menus, I assume if you're going to use the command line package installer you at least know where to find the command line terminal. Otherwise just stick with the GUI package manager.
@rainbowvein wow maybe turn the ego down about 20 steps, nobody can be so dumb as that, everyone else knows that 95% of the population of the USA thats used computers for years doesnt know how to get to that screen hes working on much less the name of it, so they can find someone else who can tell them

Indeed it is, I never said it wasn't ;) This is just a visual 'tutorial' showing what it does, if you knew it was so easy, why watch it? :)
