  • to stiff and there is no signwave motion!...not horrible though

  • @rarigo621 This was the way forms were performed befor General Choi incorperated the Sine Wave (which I hate with a passion). Emphasis on using the hips and straightline technique.

  • This guy has no idea how to use the techniques in Chon Ji. And his timing is whacked - his 'step' (what most people mistakenly call 'stance') should stop/lock at the EXACT moment that his strike reaches it's zenith.

  • absolutely no sign wave

  • I like this traditional way better.

  • isnt the traditional way the proper way? wtf is a second form to itf

  • No, I meant I prefer the traditional way, meaning with NO sine wave. Sine wave is newly added.

  • tbh i aint gonna disrespet this guy his moves r right the lot been doing tae kwon doe for yrs n yrs now i train wif peter harkish n his son for many yrs now ppl tht r saying im yellow belt n shit trust me the higher up u go the more u gotta do on the other patterns thts why its so hard to go up the dans

  • does any one know the verse thing you need to learn for your yellow belt it goes something like ?

chun ji litterally means heaven and earth ? does anyone else know the rest??

  • dan gun is the 2nd form. but you probably already got that answer since your post was from a year ago. lol

  • Yeah,my daughter posted thislast year.I think she thought saju maki and jerugi were counted as patterns.

  • Maybe that was a black belt testing for higher rank!. In my school, black belt tests go over EVERYTHING!

  • ya i know but i am on one now that is a blackbelt kata in taekwondo systems, and yes, my school goes over everything too, i just wondered why you didnt have other katas like tong ihl (if i spelled that right) or nahanchi

  • In Chon Ji the punches should be at the center of the body, which they are, and the only ki-hap in Chon Ji is on the 17th move, and also at the end of the pattern, but that is standard with all patterns to signal you are finished. This is a blackbelt DEMONSTRATING all the patterns, and showing a more traditional way of doing it, it's not a standard ITF sine-wave pattern, this is an even more traditional way of doing the patterns. and in Taekwondo they are called Hyung's or Tul's, cuz it korean.

  • i know that, but check out chunjido, its a taekwondo, karate, jujitsu, shotokn, and kempo mix, but dont it isnt traditional because it is made up of nothing but traditional arts, we all do forms (for the americans), but whatever, i have seen katas (Hyungs) done differently anyway, sry for the confusion

  • wow...ur back stances were awsome...my bac foot alwase is diaganal

  • Nice move
