George's version of Voodoo Child in this video doesn't even come close to Jimi's original At that time George was just a kid showing off his technical abilities whenever he could Jimi's style was as far from flashy and polished way of guitar playing as it can get He didn't care that his guitar might go out of tune or sound dirty or that the string just broke He was totally absorbed in the moment giving it all, totally exposing himself emotionally Perhaps now George is ready to try it again
