@swenney I've seen this done with Esri technology. Specifically it is called ArcGIS.

@theoakdogg Extreme one sided comments tend to get extreme responses. As with anything you need to take the good with the bad. Lines on maps create divisions. They also inform us of amazing truths about our planet. Without this technology, humankind is destined for catastrophic failure. Awareness, openess and an ability to communicate the gentle fabric that is geography is the message here.

good people trying to do good works....but unsaid here is that maps are second only to religion for starting wars. maps have divided ethic populations all over the planet simply by drawing a line on paper (or pixels on a screen)

the Russians know about the real nature of maps, they make them incorrect on purpose. keep patting yourself on the back but maps ruin lives and the Earth.

@theoakdogg Words people use, resources, ideologies are general reasons for wars... and you are assuming that if there were no maps that there would be no wars. I think what you are trying to get at is that possession and greed in general are a large culprit to wars and that tools such as maps are used to claim stake. But to come to a video about the technology of mapping and blast it so negatively that you accuse it of being the second most life and Earth ruining tool is indeed psychotic. End.
