This is a last glance at Spain BEFORE it joined the EU in 1985. The band would have had passport checks and everything. Spain was a different world back then. @rahejaarcade They seemed to me a bit like depeche mode at the time in that they liked to be making music in the studio and playing to thier fans but were a bit uncomfortable making promos. It was just a necessary chore. For todays teens these videos must look really cheap and silly, but todays standard is to throw a fortune at the video, hire posh directors to maximise your profit with teens etc

Its funny watching these videos having also seen them 'in thier time'

I was too young to remember Blancmange...I was about 2 when this song came out. Looking through all my dad's old LP's I came across Happy Families and Second Helpings. I prefer this song to Living On The Ceiling but thats just me...I think they are both great songs. But if you ask someone to name one Blancmange song, most of the time they will answer Living On The Ceiling.
