  • Hmmm...though Frank can't be associated with any kind of rockn'roll. Not even by the most naive person living today. LOL

  • Maybe you are right but Dean was cool in his own way. Very cool indead.

  • @bellgardens53 Of course I have nothing bad to say about them.I meant the todays confuse regarding to Rockabilly music.

  • WOW and Holy Moses! What a great jule song. Fitst I thought it was Ella Mae Morse (great pre Rnroll singer) I'll snatch it for my lead. LOL

  • @bellgardens53 Yeah, you woud not expect Patty Page singing songs like this. It's nothing than plain Rhythm n' Blues.Or pre Rock n' Roll.

  • @TheSunRecords I agree, reluctantly. I do not like when you are right. Gonna get you real fast on the choo-choo train to Siberia before you can say I beg of you is rockabilly!

  • @bellgardens53 I bet there a lot of younger people who thinks is Rock-a-Billy.Everything with a uptempo beat is Rockabilly to them.Including Frank Wildcat Sinatra and Rockin' Dean Martin.

  • @EpicCipeness Same, were doin it for a thing at our school called "Airband"

  • Very good track indeed! Cheerful, bouncy, danceable and damn good fun!

  • HAHAH i got this song stuck in my head from bed bath and beyond

  • thanks for putty this song on we need it to perform it on the winter program at monterey vista elementerey

  • I just got this on a 45 and have both b-sides, now with 145+ Christmas 45s in my collection. 45s are probably harder to find than the 78 as in 1950, 78s were still much more popular than 45s were.

  • @pannoni1 Hi, I love Christmas 50s "rockers" especially 45s for my jukebox, now I know why I can't find em, they're all at your house !! Lucky you !!

  • Mabel Scott's version still rules!!!!!!!!

  • I've got that 78 also.

    Thanks for posting

  • awsome stuff!

  • love the song !!!

  • hectorfprez,

Tienen demasiado dinero y no lo suficiente espíritu.

  • @manhatin

El Espiritu es el Que Da vida!

  • Que carajo le paso a los yanquis ??? Mira las cosas que hacian antes y las que hacen ahora....!!!

  • Patti was one of the greatest female pop singers, but this was a miss.

  • OK--this is cool. Your phonograph is cool, the 78 is cool, and this rocks. (Cool!)

This is great. Better save it. Thanks--

  • recordjunkie1968 , The Magnavox is a console.

  • great song i have 2 78rpm copies of this record

  • Sopaman1234

Would you sell one of the 78's of this song?

I would love to have this in my Jukebox this Christmas .

    Travis In KY

  • jasonlava , Thanks, believe it or not, it was given to me.

  • Love that Magnavox Micromatic.

  • leitchville , Well, Patty is "the man", after all.

  • patti will do for me

  • ItaliaBill59 Wow, thanks for sharing this information. I can't help but wonder what Lionel Hampton did with this song.

  • I have 'Boogie Woogie Santa' by Lionel Hampton as well as Mabel Scott, and I have to say Patti Page's version totally blows them both away. Jack Rael's orchestra is fantastic, even on 78rpm it rocks!

  • patentpumps , I'm lucky enough to have both versions of Tennessee Waltz, and by far Boogie Woogie Santa Claus is the clear winner. Thanks for adding this interesting tid bit.

  • Hey, it sold more than 3 MILLION copies on the back of TENNESSEE WALTZ before they removed it after Christmas and replaced it with LONG LONG AGO. Long, Long Ago was in the public domain so Mercury didn't have to pay any publisher/writer royalties.

It's a more popular recording today than in 1950!
