Ran into this guy today as BST 73/WHM, failed the first time because of missed charm, succeeded the second time. If your pet tarama uses their paralyze special ability on Ose, it actually really helps: your pet would stay alive longer, and you would have more time to recover MP, and also remember to stay as far away from Ose as possible when you are healing.
You should try BST/NIN. IT's 10x easier. Even with a mischarm you can stay alive long enough for another charm even with OSE hitting on you. Even if you get paralyzed it wears off so fast.
It is quite puzzling that BST a class that is best suited for lvling, but being by itself or with other BST can not solo end game stuff as easily as RDM but when it comes down to it...having spells that negate damage, sleep spells, and damage over time spells like dia and bio and poison....then you can plainly see how BST are at the disadvantage. Having your pet be able to turn on you...really is a shitty way to die. not to mention jug pets, although safer, are less powerful.

No, definitely not. I haven't even been able to solo Ancient Goobbue yet. I always mischarm and die. Ose seems like 10x easier. I'd say Kornflake might be the BST version of avesta. His solo of Ungar was pretty impressive. One thing i'd like to see from someone is a video of BST soloing Tyrannic Tunnok.

The toramas don't hold hate at all and OSE would constantly turn around and try to hit me instead, even when I was standing there. I think since I don't have a Gaudy Harness for /whm i'd probably run out of MP and die. Pets only last a few seconds.
Youtube has a 10 minute limit. I wish I could upload the full thing. I had to try and get this 30 minute fight down to 10 minutes and under 100mb. It was tough, I had to speed it up in order to do this.

yeah it does, especially after the death. Finally got it though and i'm 1/5 on the drop. That's not too bad compared to some people though.

sleep=>nuke. Any lvl 65+ with /nin can do it.

I soloed Tyrannic Tunnok yesterday bst/nin. Didn't get a video, but I'm learning how to use fraps now so one should be up soon :)

Who said it was? Yes, some jobs can solo it, but not many jobs can. I wouldn't go as far as saying it's "easy".
