The Regatta used to be so awesome before they let the idiot christians get alcohol banned. It was getting to be one of the biggest outdoor festivals in the U.S in the late 80's and early 90's. Leave it to the religious people to take the fun out of everything in life!
Actually it was the Regatta Committee that opted not to book big name acts. Jimmy Buffet wanted to come the year after The Beach Boys. WV needs to form one of these big festivals like "Coachella" or "SXSW"
That was an awesome concert. I have loved the Gin Blossoms since they started putting out albums and it was great to see them live. Especially for free.

Hey Meth, I'm an idiot Christian and I've seen the Gin Blossoms (4) times---and I've drunk many beers at their concerts...
