I saw Varekai in 2003, it's only time when it came to Southern California, and it became and still is my favourite Cirque show. My dream was to see it once more with Anton in it, but the chance never came. It breaks my heart every time I see this now, knowing that if I do see Varekai again, [although it will still be amazing] I will not see Anton doing this performance. My favorite Cirque act and song by far!

OMG i feel so lucky because ok heres my story... over the summer i watched Varekai for the very first time on dvd and i fell in LOVE with anton (yes I am a fangirl). So I was wishing that once i got back in shcool i would meet someone like anton, had the same name as anton, or looked like anton... If any of you guys had thought to watch the Fire Within clips in here, it says that they needed 3 things to make the show work, emotion, emotion and emotion. So Anton was just doing what was instructed. Plus it says on Wikipedia that Varekai is a cirque show for the nomadic soul. Nomadic people are very intent and Anton played the part wonderfully.

Yes. I am a New Zealander. I'm sure that Mark is good, and being a boy, i don't care about the look of him, just the overall look if Icarus. When the show comes, i will be doing the flying trapeze with the cast of varekai (lucky me!), so i will be able to meet Mark and show him my net act then.

Personally, Anton's overall look of Icarus was to dramatic. The character was simple, but Anton over did it. Mark is fresh, and brings new life back into the character. Same with Irina - 100000000 times better than Olga.

This is the real Varekai. It sucks that Anton Chelnokov has left. I do an Aerial Net act, using his music and his moves. He was my inspiration. I wont be able to see him when the show comes in Jan... He has become a legend within himself.
