  • Excellent. Much better than any fall lineup on any network now, that's for damn sure.

  • "This year will be our greatest year..."

"With some specials that will be really special..."

Now THAT'S some imaginative ad copy, folks!

And I almost choked when "lawyer" Burr had to read this horridly corny line: "I can't argue THAT case, Della." Hee-hee!

  • "Well, overtime will be one of my big problems again this year." *LoL* So sweet!

  • John Provost (Lassie) teaching us young kids

morality....Ed with his "Really big Sheww"

Clint Eastwood did a guest spot on Mr Ed

lonnnnggg before he was a star....

This is all back when CBS(the eye) was

worth watching...ah well..the years roll on...

  • A horse is a horse of course...

    Kennedy and Khrushchev...those were,....

and are, the shows of our times...

    SGT Carter(Gomer Pyle) kicking butt..

    Pallidan,(Richard Boone) took names,

    and kicked ass...

  • Donna Douglas(pre-Bev Hillbillies)...

    and it's fun...fun...fun..till your daddy

    takes the T-Bird away...

  • This is the schedule for Sunday (Eastern Time): 5:30 G.E. COLLEGE BOWL 6:00 THE TWENTIETH CENTURY [Walter Cronkite, host/narrator] 6:30 MISTER ED 7:00 LASSIE 7:30 DENNIS THE MENACE 8:00 THE ED SULLIVAN SHOW 9:00 GENERAL ELECTRIC THEATER [Ronald Reagan, host/occasional performer; the scene shown here is from a January 1961 episode, "The Devil You Say"] 9:30 THE JACK BENNY PROGRAM 10:00 CANDID CAMERA 10:30 WHAT'S MY LINE? 11:00 CBS SUNDAY NIGHT NEWS WITH WALTER CRONKITE {15 min.}
  • And this season's host of "EYEWITNESS", CBS News' weekly half-hour devoted to a current topic in the news (sponsored by Firestone Tire & Rubber Company) was none other than Walter Cronkite.

  • "THE INVESTIGATORS" (produced by MCA/Revue) was short-lived [13 episodes]- it was part of a "package deal" they made with CBS for their Thursday night schedule that fall ["THE NEW BOB CUMMINGS SHOW" and "FRONTIER CIRCUS" were the other shows]. Robert Young's "FATHER KNOWS BEST" was in repeats that fall, and "WINDOW ON MAIN STREET' was his new series, which lasted one season.

  • The only show I didn't remember was The Investigators.

And did Robert Young star on 2 shows concurrently? I'm confused on this.

  • a lot of these shows just petered out, too bad, some big stars here!!
