  • Stupid Youtube - I watch this video with a McDonalds advertizement popping up all over the page. I'm trying to learn about nutrition and all I can do is crave a friggin Big Mac now.

  • damn i knew i shouldnt of drunk a litre of vodka before my first marathon lol

  • Oh, yeah, studies have shown that caffeine does help to metabolize fat during endurance sports like marathoning, so coffee can be good for you. Sodas wreak havoc on your system but you'll burn calories, so who cares. I drank a ton of them when I used to train, now I stay away from them altogether. Beer never stopped me, just hydrate, that's the key. As you build leg muscle, your mucles will absorb a ton of water.

  • go with 20% fat, 60% carbs, 20% protein. Sometimes I go with less fat and more protein but it's a good mix at that spread.

  • not much nutrition advice here at all. Poor video. go for nutritionally dense foods. you do want to work on upper body strength since it will take quite a jarring during long runs, so protein is important. Cross training with cycling really helps a lot, so eat, eat, eat since you'll be burning calories like crazy. Some beer is okay, he doesn't even seem like a top athlete.

  • soda is deadly!!!!

  • i used to take shots of vodka before 10ks when i was like 13 lmfao

  • seems like an asshole.

    Nothing groundbreaking here

  • you're gunna want to eat mainly unsaturated fat and slow releasing carbs. So lots of fruit and lots of pasta!

you should also really be eating a wheat or bran based breakfast to help with digestion.

  • This is fairly basic advice, specially if you're advising people for a marathon as the title suggests. As long as you're hydrated caffeine boosts performance. What about Carb loading before the event of low GI carbs only and then having high GI carbs on the event ......

  • heres an awsome extremly healthy tasty combination just like cellery with peanut butter and raisons. try a big boll of mixed vegetables with salsa! i know the combination seems unusual, but don't knock it to you try it! salsa is a great sauce because it has no fat and only 10 calories!

  • Caffeine + Long Runs = Religious Bowel Movements
