  • rip Betty smh

  • Why are black people always in violence?

  • She's beautiful!

  • was just reading dueteronomy chapter 28 yesterday. it pretty much explains everything that she mentions regarding the enemy having so much dignity and how he'd be the head, and how blacks would be the tail in a land that they'd be a stranger in. and how nations would reject them and look down on them. really made my blood boil as i was reading through the chapter. it pretty much pin pointed the events of the slave days.

  • I have a question, not so much regarding this video but a related piece that wouldn't allow me to post. It was a called "What Malcolm X Didn't Tell You! Part 1/ and 2. In it, Louis Farakhan introduces about four or five women who were the "wives" of Elijah Muhammed and their now grown children. They still support Mr. Muhammed. So, if all of that was honorable in their religion, why did the Nation kill Malcolm X over revealing it? Anybody know? Also did these women ever get to marry again?

  • @ymoore12 After Malcolm found about this fornication, Elijah decided to drop him. However Malcolm STILL (!) believed in Elijah (as Malcolm says) more than Elijah did in himself. He spent nights finding stories in the Bible to justify his fornication. He STILL wanted to be in NOI. Elijah decided that by publicly humiliating Malcolm and throwing him out of the Nation, the press and media would be all over him, and forget about the fornication of Elijah. Malcolm was used as a distraction.

  • Fuck Elijah Muhammad. Fuck the Nation of Islam. Fake ass crooks. Burn in hell to all of those corrupt scumbags.

  • No, because witnesses saw him shoot Faulkner, faulker was shot five times with a .38 handgun. Mumia was found with the cops bullet in him near the body with an .38 handgun with 5 spent casings. He stied to fight police when they arrived, and screamed that he shot the cop and wanted to kill him when brought to the hospital.

Read the facts you dumb fuck.

  • Oprah is proof this has happened. Oprah Winfrey, Negro woman from the south, and now know worldwide, a multi billionare, powerful, influencial, now with her OWN network.

  • barack obama is the cousin of bush in the 47the familie line check it out on wikipedia

  • barack obama ia a uncle tom negro or should i say a house negro.

  • shes beautiful

  • If you think we are close, you are so wrong, ways87. Don't you understand? It is like a bone that the master puts in front of the dogs face only to pull it away at the last moment, making him think that he almost had it. We are not dogs, and he is not the master of us. We're equal human beings, and humbling ourselves to what is rightfully ours is not the way. The time is now, it was now in 1865, 1965, 1966-2010, and the time is now in 2011. Unfortunately, we are still being treated like dogs.

  • Strong beautiful intelligent lady.

  • My mind is heavy like the mind of Sister Betty-Lauryn Hill

  • Behind every great man there is a great woman Sister Betty Shabazz!

  • SHE IS PRETTY SHE LOOK A LITTLE LIKE CATHERINE JACKSON

  • why peopl always blaming obama or comparing obama to malkcom x or mlk he is the usa president not a black leader so for all americans that the probleme of my brothers malcom x was alive nobody backed his ideology ,MLK as well so tomorrow when obama gonna accomploshed something u will compare him to a new black man figure pff

  • *** YOUTUBE: farrakhan exposed: who really assassinate malcolm x?***

    PAY ATTENTION!!

there are those [black muslims] who feared [mx] --farrakhan...1954 [NOI paper]: suck a man of malcolm is worthy of death -- farrakhan.."two months later, he was killed" (hmmm, you dont' have to be a rocket science to see the connection. the connected dots speak for themselves...noi is GUILTY!!

    malcolm x RIP

  • She sounds just like him .. <3

  • Malcolm was a great man !!

  • She looks so calm and trys to avoid her sadness

  • betty shabazz look like muhammad ali

  • May Allah bless him and raise him as a martyr on the day of Judgement.

  • I so hate the way she and her husband died... They both were murdered by black people. The same people who not only who were the same race as them, but the same people who they love and fought for equal rights for.. We love you Betty and Malcom.. You will live on forever in our hearts.

  • Wow! She was so pretyy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • SUCH A STRONG WOMAN.

  • she was soo pretty!

  • it won't play. booooo

  • i wish i had a wife like this!!

  • @ufcxxxxx Not true. I know many GOOD people that are old as hell and are still yet in the land of the living.

  • Both Malcolm and his wife spoke very eloquently and with intelligence, in fact most people did in that era, you'd be hard pressed to find people today who can talk like that on camera.... Guess education has gone downhill...

  • @MoPete15 The standard of our people have gone "downhill", for our people have allowed those to come among us, in between us, and all around us who do not truly care about us which in turn has destroyed us for example the media, education system, & some elements of " Hip-Hop" A people who truly do not live and structure themselves has a people of self worth will always be on the bottom of social, economical and political success.

  • she was so beautifal and she really shined her wisdom to many people.

  • don't she look like serena williams

  • @umsalmaan

    Yes! Cute!

  • Everyone on TV sounds much more intelligent then than now.

  • I'm a Christian, but I know that Malcolm was a man and an example of faithfulness and strength.

  • May you and you beautiful husband rest in peace Betty Shabazz. We love you all for ever and ever! You are so strong and loved, May Allah swt rest your souls.

  • One less muslim asshole who hates people. I dont talk as one is white or black, i treat them like an equal human being. This fucking guy even slandered Jesus's words about the gentiles. I saw it with my own eyes. Unbelievable. And the poor uneducated people loved hearing it not knowing what was really being said is not even true. Shame on malcom x. And this world is a better place without his dividing hateful ways.

  • @Lifeisincredible911 you cant just blanketly say that about him. In your mind hes a bad person, but for the blacks who had no hope, and felt a sense of inferiority malcolm x was a hero for them who raised their pride and self esteem. Plus, if you knew about his entire life, you would know that he changed and came to see all races as equal. So before you slander him, get to know his full story first. He is one of the most influential african americans whether you like it or not

  • @Lifeisincredible911

are you retarded or stupid? go take a class in English because you obviously can't understand it. I also saw the speech where he referenced Jesus' words about "go not the way of the gentiles, but to the lost sheep" AND HE WAS PRAISING AND DEFENDING THOSE WORDS!! Malcolm X was PRAISING Jesus' attitute and love for the oppressed and the lowly and was contrasting it with the evil, racist mentality of the U.S. government.

  • @Lifeisincredible911

you're right, there ARE uneducated people who hear his words and who do not know what is really said, AND YOU'RE ONE OF THEM!!! lol. (Love how you described yourself perfectly, ahahha)

  • AMEN! I am here in India, and I can tell you that the indignities suffered here is atrocious-- only more atrocious because it's colored people who have internalized the message that native ain't enough! I believe that black skin reminds folks that whites are superior, and so to prove that, people who think like that naturally treat blacks with disdain. It's amazing how few are aware of the global madness surrounding being black in this world- a madness that has little to do with us individually!

  • that day we lost one of the greatest black leader..

  • God bless Malcolm X. People, just read his Autobiography (called: The Autobiography of Malcolm X)...its available at EVERY library.

  • Rest in Peace Sister Betty.

  • whats crazy is the irony of this family story. malcomx, such a great leader family was essentially forgotten. betty shabazz died at the hands of her troubled 12 year old grandson, malcom shabazz... very sad

  • @soulle What happend if you don't mind explaining.?

  • Our Prophet...

    A holy man... .

  • Malcolm was for the whole of humanity! God bless him and his family. :-)

  • God Bless Brotha' Malcolm X..

  • Well said. Unfortunately, not much has changed. White privilege is still taking a toll on people of color everywhere.

  • She never changed her hair style in 30 plus years since she came out her longs I find that interesting!!!!!

  • Who cares about her hair she lost her husband. Your hella dumb..

  • Corretta Scott King had different variations of basically the same hair sytle and Myrlie Evers(Medgers wife) changed her hair style constantly and she is the only one to remarry, I have been lookin at the same videos for 30 years pardon me if I make different observations if that make me "hella dumb" I'll Be That,I'll Be That!!!!

  • That's all gonna change my brothers and sisters...we are so close to gettin what belongs to us... which is ourstory...not history...but ours...stay humble...

  • who killed malcolm x?

    who killed martin luther king?

    who killed j.f.kennedy?

    who killed tupac amaru shakur?

    who killed christopher wallace?

    WHO?!

I just hope that Obama will be not also a "problem" for the people who do not want to hear the truth.

  • if u think he is in the same league as MLK and Malcolm X, u must be out of your mind!!!!!!

the day obama speaks about mumia abu jamal, THAT DAY, I will give him some credit. till then, he's just a slightly darker than usual political bitch.

  • so I´m not...

I´m just saying that people who wanna change something for good are killed...

and yeah it´s too early to say that obama is like them don´t even know if he can be as great as X and MLK

  • nicely written

  • @Ezkiel777 right... cause he is consumed with petty shit like a collapsing economy, crumbling and inadequate healthcare, a massive environmental catastrophe, and a war. Shame on Obama for not IMMEDIATELY addressing Mumia Jamal upon inauguration.

  • @ocky88

If you think for one second that Obama is any more of a populist than bush, clinton, or bush SR, you're fooling yourself. He's just another wall street bank, secret-handshaking crook with a darker complexion than the rest of his ilk.

If his character and determination for racial equality and peace were even a *fraction* of MLKs or Malcolm X's, 1> he'd never have been elected, and 2> he'd have been shot by now.

  • @scbluesman13 so because he was elected and alive (by God's grace) he lacks character? Sound logic, my love.

Perhaps the real reason he is where he is now is b/c he is the fruit of the sacrifices Malcolm and MLK made.

  • @ocky88

I wish that were true. I wish that he was the fruit of their sacrifices but his actions distinctly go against that theory. No one wants him to fit that ideal more than I do, and I admit my earlier comment was a bit cynical, but that's largely in part to my incredible frustration at Obama's actions not coming anywhere close to matching the goals of his wonderful rhetoric.

  • @Ezkiel777

    Amen.

  • @Ezkiel777 AMEN! obama works for the same powers as the rest of those bastards!

  • @Ezkiel777 Well said

  • Barack Obama is a Politician, a damn good one.

  • @Ezkiel777 u jealous

  • @laetiti1985 u troll

  • @Ezkiel777 PLEASE JUST SHUTUP

  • @Ezkiel777 fuck you

  • @Ezkiel777 : Is that you, Lupe Fiasco?

  • @SyrenniaLestrange ROFL, I thought the same thing!

  • @Ezkiel777 the man has his black ass in office. I WILL BE FOREVER GRATEFUL FOR THAT. it took us 400 years to get there. what give YOU any right to think the way you think? Pulease.

  • @Ezkiel777 Mumia is a murderer.

  • @Soldat251 why cuz the dumb bitch on cnn says so or your ignorance and cognitive dissonance and ignorance prevents you from embracing the truth

  • @OACYLU You are really an idiot.

  • thank you you give me hope for american

  • Much respect to Malcolm X. I'm a white guy, but I recognize that he was one of the most sane individuals to have ever walked this Earth. He spoke the truth always and demanded respect for his people. He was an upright man.

  • @bapyou, why must u declare that ur white.................. would ur statement not have the same meaning our are u trying to say to black people, "Please forgive my ancestors"..... IDK ....please respond

  • @Theozzie11 "are u trying to say to black people, "Please forgive my ancestors"

Not at all. My grandparents immigrated to America in the early 1900s. I have no guilt whatsoever about slavery because my forebears were never involved in it.

However, having lived through the 60s as a young boy -- and as a human being, I've always felt a keen sense of compassion for how black folks have been treated in America.

  • @bapyou 10-4

  • @Theozzie11 When I consider Malcolm X as a public figure -- read his writings; view his speeches here on YouTube -- I see a man asking for basic human dignity and respect for the group of people to which he was born -- however socially-constructed that group may be. I first read Malcolm X's autobiography when I was 17 yrs old (I'm 51 now), not because it was assigned reading at my high school (it wasn't), but because I was curious about this man about whom I had heard from various sources.

  • @bapyou Actually, he did not always tell the truth. It is a well known fact, even he admits, that when he was working for Elija that he disagreed with a lot of what he preached. For shit sake he is a muslim who in many speeches put down Jesus because malcom twisted Jesus's words. I will be more than happy to take the time and show you if you want.

  • @Lifeisincredible911 Revisionist claptrap. In today's world in which not a soul living has a tenth of Malcolm's courage, individuals such as yourself feed off his corpse like the rotting stinking ghoul you are.

  • @bapyou How can you say Malcolm X always spoke the truth always and demanded respect? Did you forget he was a hustler, thieve, and drug dealer? There are plenty of unsung heros (of every color), whom did not have to hit rock bottom to become or maintain an upstanding life.....but they'll never get the recognition of Malcolm X. So why should he deserve it?

  • @dabidosan "How can you say Malcolm X always spoke the truth always and demanded respect?"

He did always speak the truth. He was fearless.

And I did not write that Malcolm X demanded respect, I wrote that he demanded respect for black people. That is a very different statement.

Today there aren't public figures such as Malcolm; public figures who are not simply a mouthpiece for their own personal ambition. The world is less rich without such individuals in it.

  • @bapyou I'm white and I agree with...just before X's death he had it all figured out. After his pilgrimage he realized what Elijah Muhammed had taught him was INCOMPLETE. Meaning it was a version of Islam. Malcolm spoke of a Scandinavian man who's eyes were the bluest of blue and hair the blondest of blonde being his brother. He had a peace about him afterwards, and did you notice how he smiled alot more. X didn't even use the term White Devil after his Hajj. He would've gotten my vote as Presid

  • @usnate1 "X . . . would've gotten my vote as Presid[ent]"

I don't think he would have run for office, actually. He was bigger than mere electoral politics. After all, being President of the United States means that you're head of the (essentially) white power structure. Malcolm was a revolutionary in spirit and in outlook.

  • @bapyou Well yes and then no...I believe that b/c he was an intellectual first..he had seen and did see the possibility that America was a place with a SYSTEM that is exhaustedly long sometimes yet it works itself out eventually. He had no intention of taking over NOI and said that small steps via whites and blacks helping each other out in various politically significant instances was the best way to go. As he put it...Rome wasn't built in a day. And in the 60's a black President probably not.

  • @usnate1 With respect to what I wrote about a white power structure and a black president, Obama is proof of this. Obama transcends nothing. He was a snazzy new color for the same old car. He's continued every Bush policy which he said he would end. He's a liar; a duplicitous careerist. Could you say these things about X? Never.

Malcom X was too uncompromising of a figure, both intellectually and in his politics. He was a revolutionary. Obama was the advertisment of a revolution. SOLD!

  • @bapyou Oh I agree in fact we haven't had a black candidate to date that was ready to do well in the oval office. I'm already aware of what Malcolm X was...he was also against the NOI after his Hajj thats why they split. NOI doesn't have the answers either...If we keep giving money (in the billions) to this gigantic government then no sect of people will be completely happy.

  • @bapyou What would you have Obama do (that he realistically can do) that he has not attempted to do, or planned to do at this point in his presidency. He cannot do this alone and with the Repubs doing everything to circumvent his plans, it seems like a no win situation for him or any Black man that becomes president. Lets not expect too much when there is such an un-compromising Congress...

  • @gnsky77 Instead of asking what Obama could do, why don't you look at the legislation he voted for? It isn't as though he is in opposition to the right, far from it. He isn't a black man, do any of his actions reflect that of a black politician? He is just another wolf in sheep's clothing, you are like a lamb being led to the slaughter. Your rhetoric sounds nice to you but it is hardly realistic or representative of the man. If he wanted to change anything, he wouldn't have made it that far.

  • @57worldwide The repubs are still circumventing his plans....the rest I never commented on...

  • @gnsky77 "He cannot do this alone and with the Repubs doing everything to circumvent his plans"

Excuse me: For the first two years of his admin Obama had a Democratic majority in Congress, yet he allowed Republicans to somehow dominate the discourse. He gave away the health care bill allowing lobbiests to dictate its terms; ramped up the war in Afghanistan; further eroded civil liberties a la Bush.

Both parties are corrput and venal. Which is why a revolution is necessary & inevitable.

  • @gnsky77 He still gives us our best chance of wining....lol

  • @dabidosan Where are they? He was not Malcolm X at that time either.

  • @promi5e Where are they? Still around apparently....just ask Claudette Colvin, but tell the late Rosa Parks I said that.

  • @bapyou True that. RIP Malcolm X and Betty Shabazz.

  • @bapyou you are an upright man

  • @bapyou Well said Brother

  • If you like Betty Shabazz then you'll LOVE Irshad Manji.

  • Fuck Irshad Manji that bitch!

  • Y'all don't go disrespecting Irshad Manji. She's done a lot of good for the Ummah.

  • Are you fuckin kiddin me!? she is lesbian! The Quran clearly states in its own words that Lesbian women should be locked in a room till hunger and thirst takes there lifes. btw she claims the quran have been corrupted. meanin she is followin somethin that is corrupted? what tha fuck is she then?

  • So what if shes a lesbian? And you should keep your trap shut if you open it only for that kind of garbage. Irshad Manji is the greatest woman in the whole Ummah.

  • Homo Sexuality is not allowed in Islam!!! DONT YOU GET IT!!! Islam and homo sexuality are two opposite things! and how is she the greatest woman? i thought the greatest woman were the ones who fought back occupiers? who talks for Islam? not some one who goes around and claims the Quran have been corrupted! and still tends to believe in a message she her self see as corrupted? thats like believe in a lie u know is a lie!

  • Regardless of what the Qur'an says, homosexuality has always and will always continue to exist, both inside and outside the Ummah. Get over it.

  • so does pedophiles, murders, childmolesters, drugdealers and rapists... should we accept that to? just bcuz its excist inside and outside the Ummah?

  • No because that's different. They're all violent crimes. LGBT is between concenting adults. Who cares? Let them do what they want.

  • and Homo Sexuality is unnatural and imoralic. and its wrong, have u never heard about the tribe of Loot and how Allah (swt) describe them in the Quran? and maybe there is not violence in homosexuality but its still wrong and not acceptable.

  • "Homosexuality is immoral and unnatural" Prove it then. And as for you not accepting it, tough. These people will carry on doing what they want despite what you think God says.Get over yourself.

  • it is. its unnatural cause its an act against the normal nature of human that male should pair with a female. and its immoral cause its wrong as hell. and i swear majority of Muslims will never accept homo sexuality. and by god when the khilafah return. if there is a homo that do homo sexual acts on our soil we will stone him to death!

  • Stone them to death? Fucken barbaric cunts. No wonder Hamas killed you lunatics.

  • Hamas? dude what planet are u from?

  • Hellion Prime. No not really I am fron Earth.

  • u say No Wonder Hamas killed you lunatics? i am well aware for what Hamas did to al-qaeda in Gaza. but what do u think they would do if they exposed homo sexuals in Gaza?

  • Beat them up probably. The male ones at least. Or they could turn a blind eye. I don't know much about them but they kill Jews so at least they're doing something right.

  • Holy shit u are the most fucked kind of human ever! Homo Sexuals are described as the worst kind of peope in the Quran. and Hamas would shoot them up in the streets. and to kill Jews is wrong u stupid dipshit. Hamas kill Zionists. not jews. there is jews who support the state of palestine!

  • mwahahahahah really intellectual responce.

  • the guy on her right is gene roberts a police informant

  • Where did you learn this?

  • he did an interview in the documentary called "make it plain." Gene Roberts is his name. he may still be alive.

  • Sister Betty Shabazz is a courageous woman.

Sister Betty despite the pain in losing Brother Malcolm, she still fought back the tears of the man who had a big effect not only to her but their daughters.

Betty gave birth to twins and it is a painful shame that Brother Malcolm didn't get a chance to see them.

    RIP, Sister Betty Shabazz.

  • White people are the real cave monkeys...you lepros, red abnormal beast that God hates. You have that cancerous skin, and lice in the hair. Fucking monsters. Red shows through cause you are like the pig, rare. Black to brown is the natural skin color dumb ass. Exodus 4:6 And the LORD said furthermore unto him, Put now thine hand into thy bosom. And he put his hand into his bosom: and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous as snow.

  • These comments are sad....

Betty was so strong. I read Ilyasah Shabazz's autobiography, and it showed how her mother worked so hard. All that work seems to be unrecognized

  • Comment removed

  • even she speaks of this devil white man. the proof is staring you in the face about this damn devil

  • LOVE HER AND HER FAMILY THE 1ST FAMILY

  • The only time I have ever witness the so called Nation of Islam doing engaging in anything effective was during the leadership of Bro Malcolm. Since then the only intention of this group has been to join with the rest of the cults in exploiting poor African Americans. I wised up, and stood firm in my belief that I will never listen to a man who gets 100% of his income from preaching. So you wanted a reply in defense of your brain washed doctrine, there you have it.

  • The so called minister is the leader of a cult. The Nation of Islam, Church of God in Christ, Jehovah witness, Catholics, Baptism fellowships, and so on have all prayed on African Americans in the name of God. Religion has become pay to pray, with no real love for charity. If your minister profession is preaching full time then you are serving a pimp. Bring daddy his money

  • WELL WELL WELL ,, First of all he is martyr ( Shaheed in Arabic ) because he was doing his job when he got Assassinated. I am Muslim and proud to be that . I am white and he is black so we all brothers . no racism in our religion . as you recognized that islam got blurred by the propagandas and media in the U.S . I know that you all know islam is the right religion doubtless.

  • Why does Farrakhan call this white Kracka, father pfleger his brotha? You know why? Because thats who runs the organization. The Vatican. Black people you have been deceived in the worst way. Wake up black man, and stop following this hue-man, and become that God you seek. Time to rise up Now! Last warning!

  • You know I'm with you on this one. I do say though that Father Pfleger even caught hell from the Archdiases in Chicago. They've been trying to close him down for years. Though I like'em, I question some things too. Like when the liquor on the billboard thing he did. It was a man, the late Mandrake was the one who started that and Pfleger is taking credit for it.

  • niggas like purple knight 4 ever killed malcom. uncletom niggas with devil minds. FBI. you crackers are devils and ill never go aganist the minister. crackers hated malcom, now they love em so much. they want to turn misguided blacks aganist the minister. WAKE UP

  • FARRAKHAN KILLED BROTHER MALCOLM

  • NO HE DID NOT!

  • LOUD NOISES

But seriously, we have reasons to believe he did.

And to ignore one or all of them would be inappropriate to the memory of Malcolm X, at best.

    Lol

  • R.I.P. BROTHER MALCOLM

  • Long live MalcomX (may he rest in peace)

    and Shabazz

  • "behind every great man is a strong woman" R.I.P. Dr. Betty Shabazz. and El Hajj Malik.

  • Hey, I've been trying to find the essay that betty wrote about malcolm and her life for essence magazine in 1992 and I can't find it. Does anyone know where I can find it?

  • What a beautiful person

  • That was wonderful.....

  • That is a woman. that is a black woman. rest in light Betty Shabazz. She deserves just as much praise as Malcolm.

  • she is a definite symbol of the strength of a woman.

  • WOW..honestly, doesnt she sounds a bit like Malcolm, just the way she speaks and the strength of her voice

  • Thanks you soo much.

    May God bless their souls

  • wonderful and insightful post!

  • Thank you for this. Betty Shabazz is as articulate as her husband.

  • or her husband is articulate as she is... :)
