Are they trying to appeal to Disney fans or ABC fans? Yes, I know Disney owns ABC, but it's about like asking me to get excited about Disney owning KTLA or ESPN. A big conglomeration is NOT the classic Disney we know and love!
I'm attending the Expo and am sincerely excited about some of the offerings there.
However, these "viral" videos feel like an out-of-touch corporation trying to make a connection with an audience they don't even understand. In classic television appearances by Walt Disney, one could easily see the man had deep respect for his audience when promoting a film or a new Disneyland attraction. Walt was sincere, classy and fun. But these videos with Jeffrey are obnoxious and kind of insulting.
It's simple: There are two things Pixar does right, above all else - they don't talk down to kids, and they don't exclude adults. Disney used to do exactly this. Pixar learned it from watching Disney do their thing! It's like the old PSA, "I learned it from watching you!" So true.
Come on, Disney marketing geniuses; isn't the first rule of entertainment to NEVER insult your audience? :\ If it's not the first rule, it's pretty high up there. Don't insult us.
I'm going to this thing. I bought a one day ticket. But this video was really lame. I'm starting to wonder if I just shouldn't have stayed home and watched all of the presentations and theme park news on Miceage. Disney is trying too hard with this D23 crap.

Um... did anyone else notice that they went through a red light at the end?

It wasn't a red turn signal, and in CA you can turn right on a red light. That would've been great though!

Yes, these promos are not very good, but calling D23 "crap" was not necessary.

This is the lamest promo ever. If I had tickets I'd ask for a refund.
