Actually, neither Randy Travis nor Brook Benton wrote the song. The song was written by Brian Wilson and Eugene E. Landy for the American pop band The Beach Boys. It was released on their 1985 album The Beach Boys. But Randy and Brook both sang this song extremely well. Randy is indeed my favorite singer and I like to hear both singers music.
