Don't worry - it's nothing compared to the insult of the proddy CoE, all because a monarch could not get his own way. Get real. Feel free to reply, but watch the language, Anyone know if Arsenal scored? //~_~\\
@commodoremuseum you confuse me sir for someone who believes your opinion matters to me i think. I was brought up in the upperclass caste and pay no heed to the opinions of others and yes i will have my FLAN tonight ! Im Spanish
Love this show but one thing has always bugged me. Watching it on YouTube the cross at the end of this vid seems smudged so it looks upside down. Also her cross necklace in all episodes appears that way. Like the horizontal bar is set low. Is it just me and if not why did they do that?
I'm not sure if it is an "in-joke" on the show, but the "upside-down crucifix" is St. Peter's Cross. Traditionally, it is seen as a tribute to St. Peter, who was crucified upside-down, but satanic cults have adopted this symbol because they believe it to be the antithesis of christian symbology. It could also be the Greek Cross or St. George's Cross. I don't know much about the Church of England, so correct me if I'm wrong.
I ADORE Alice's accent -- the kind that could 'sound' a little bit 'snooty' in the 'drawal.' But on her, it's purr-fek, cuz of her childlike character! Yay!
(My Mother's name was, "Alice!" I think she would've liked Dibley's, "Alice," as well.) [sigh...]
There are small moments when a generally two-dimensional character comes across as deeper. I really like John Bluthal at 0:49-0:52. Very subtle, but poignant. Thanks for sharing, StarlightReverie.

i think it is an insult to the church and done on purpose to have that fat creature wear an inverted cross may she see justice done to her if it is !

@ChelseaFCisNo1 Actually the inverted cross is also in itself a christian symbol. Saint Peter was crucified on an inverted cross.

It was an "in-joke" in the show, what with the upside down crucifix being "a sign of the devil" or something along those lines.
Kinda clever and funny... I never noticed it before, thanks!
