What is wrong with combining and re-arranging? People do that all the time. Especially he wants to have some Chinese flavour to it and some tone that people familiar with.

Yeah but quality = bad

It's almost like they want nobody to have high quality copies of the original track, you can't purchase it anywhere and you can't download it anywhere. After hours of searching the internet for a high quality version I'm unable to find anything other than this same video posted everywhere.

Well, the 1996 is a genuine version that only shares the same composer, hence the same style. This theme is Jasmine Flower which Tan Dun has later used for the Youtube Symphony along with Beethoven's Eroica.

Great song - thanks for the video. Though I must say, after watching 7 Olympic events in Beijing followed by a few Paralympic ones, the song does get rather tiring! Especially in team podium presentations where you have to go to each athlete one by one... nonetheless, would love to get a copy!

I worked for the german team at the Olympic Games, and had the honor to hear this sound in the birds nest one evening. It was such an atmosphere in the stadium, you cannot imagine. The hole trip to China and this music will be in my mind all my life. What a great song.
