  • People... Nobody buys their way to an eq final Yes the horses and trainers are expensive, but you don't buy your way in.If you don't have talent, determination, and drive,Frank Madden,George Morris,Scott Stewart, won't take you on.Do you really think the reason their students are so good is simply because of their money? You have NO idea.. Seriously I dare anyone who bashes these girls to get on one of their horses, they are in no way the packers you think they are. I promise you'd crap yo pants!

  • Nice horse!

  • in this vid she def improved since 2005 horse power, but i still think she is inconsistent and tight-wound. i do like her eq tho

  • is she riding logan

  • i wish the girl talking the whole time would shut up

  • Is it just me or did the horse look like it was landing aweful hard on its front feet durring the combinations?

  • nice round !

  • eqgirl3 did you monmouth grand prix and have one day? no so keep your mouth shut. you probably ride in your backyard kiki your amazing

  • Chelsea is my friend :))

ye she still riding i gues

  • who is Chelsea ridng here Logan or someone else

  • Solid round..but she looked a bit forward/rounded, and her hands looked low with stiff elbows.

  • I haven't heard much about Chelsea.. is she still riding?

  • yes.. but not as a junior.

  • yes, i saw her in the Monmouth Grand Prix. she looked terrified, her horse was crazy!

  • i wasn't scared, but thanks for watching me

  • WOW.

    0:18

    goddd.haha cutee.

  • that was so good and you guys shojldnt be talking about the price of her horse its not like you know

  • I still can't believe Brianne Goutal sold Logan for around 750k! That's insane!

I'm sure Logan is a really good eq horse but here in Germany you can buy a horse like that for 50k, maybe 100k at most...

  • Well he won the Maclay and set a world record of winning all 4 medals including the Maclay which is a very big deal. He knows his job and toats around even the most inexpreienced riders so he is worth the money.

But I wouldn't buy him for 750k because I dont have that much money.

  • she didnt over jump any of the fences!!

  • haha yah that was not over jumped...thats the size of the fence. would u rather the horse jump the actual height of the fence and crash? yah no...that wouldnt be good haha soo yah that seems pretty correct. Beautiful horse,,,great rider...amazing round! that was very nice!

  • pause it at 29.

    overjumping muchh?

  • i dont think she over jumped it. that was a big jump.

  • is this logan or someone else? i cant tell from the quality!

  • thats definitely logan. thats his movement..

  • thats what i was looking at lol

  • she's doing it on every jump,

but you cant see it as well as that one

  • That is Logan Brianne sold him to Chelsea. :)

  • which horse is this?

  • does anyone know if Chelsea Moss is planning on taking her horse Logan to the mclay again this year, or is she on a new mount?

  • isnt she too old now?

  • Brianne Goutal is to old and thats why she sold Logan because he was meant to be a Maclay horse, so she sold him to Chelsea.

  • im pretty sure chelsea is too old now, too.. which is what i meant

  • brianne aged out 2 years before Chelsea and sold him to her, and yeah chelsea's aged out too by now but idk what happened to logan

  • Logan is leased by Lillie Keenan i think...

  • I'm so excited! I'm going to WIHS on oct 25*(my b-day) and she's going to be there. Along with other huge names like, Reed Kessler, Kimberly McCormack,Jessica Springsteen,Jennifer Waxman, and soo many more!

  • very nice chelsea!

  • is that briannes horse

  • yes thats the horse she won the finals on. but now its chels.

  • a MILLION times better than nikko

  • is poniesr4me danielle?

  • my trainer, joy kloss, was chelseas trainer and taught her how to ride, im not joking

  • is poniesr4me danielle?

  • that was an AMAZING ROUND!

  • I'm sorry. No offense, but she is really an ineffective rider - one who cares more about wealth than talent.

I have to say the best part of the Maclay show was when Moss's trainer yelled at her after the USEF Talent Search.

  • I disgree with you on many counts. Especially since you dont know her personally. Who are you to assume these harsh comments that you're throwing out?

  • umm i totally agree!! hahah

and she thinks that just cause she has Logan now, means that shes going to win everything that brianne did.

and i def. agree about the maclay!! :)

  • thats not how she thinks at all. her talent grew out of onatello as her main eq horse and logan was for sale at that time and if you have a horse that wins u tend to keep it in the barn and it just happened to work out that way and they match pretty well.

  • ginagingersnap- thats sooo mean... she probably tried really hard to make it there

  • okay - the first thing I said was "I'm sorry, No offense..."

It's just my personal opinion. Hey, the Internet. It's all free speech and free will around here. I can speak my opinion and right there is my opinion. My opinion alone, you don't have to agree. I don't have to oooh and aah over her like some of the people have done so. She might be a good rider for all I know - but the fact remains that you cannot deny she has bought her way in with a proven equitation champion.

  • Still you shouldnt get happy over her getting yelled at. Have you ever been to any year end finals? If you havent then you dont know how hard it is and its ok if you make one mistake.

  • Fine - yeah, it's okay if you make one mistake. If you recall the show, she was completely tense and Onatello was feeding off of her nerves. IMO, riding is, among other things, psychology and theater. If you're afraid, you cover it up with a mirror of confidence and RIDE like you aren't afraid. She didn't do that.

By the way - I might not have been an A show rider, but I HAVE been to year-end finals around here on the competitive county circuit. (I quit hunters awhileago when I broke my hip)

  • Well if you werent a A show rider then what kind of year ends did you do... what was the name of it?

  • I dont think that she did, she rides a bunch of really tough horses and qualifies on them. She saves logan for the bigger shows. She shows against me quite often-both on the local circuit and at finals. She rides all the horses well and effectively.

  • ha. WOW.

    FINALLY someone with SENSE!

I totally agree with you, she bought her way to the win eq championship!

  • @RRhapsodylovernext time you judge somebody over watching a video you should either delete the ones you post or really think before you do it because clearly you have never jumped anything like this in your life so you have no room to judge. and if you knew anything about this sport you would know that there is much more to it than just "buying your way" into it.

    - chelsea moss

  • @L904ever

Whether you are Chelsea Moss or not does not concern me, so if you thought that intimidating me by telling me that you're Chelsea Moss, you are wrong.

Also, this is a comment I made over a year ago. While I can't say that I have ever jumped at such a level, I can say that I have competed nationally and I know EXACTLY what goes on in a national competition and that the way the sport is going today, one has to buy a fancy horse to win. It's just the name of the game.

  • @L904ever People have really raised the bar as far as competition goes by importing fancy horses and therefore giving competitors no choice but to buy a fancy horse in order to win. That is something I accept. And yes, there is such thing as buying your way into it.Moss may be a very talented rider, there is no way she (or you... whatever) could have made her name by competing on anything less than she had. She is successful because of the combination of her horse's talent as well as her own.

  • wow! that was a great round!!!! :)

I have nerves like chelsea so i know what she has to go through before you go into the ring!

She is a great rider!! :)

  • love the horse!!

  • She rides really well, shes placed at many of the 3'6" equitation finals and shes won many ribbons in the junior jumpers.

So i think that she SHOULD be jumping that high since she looks pretty good.

  • RIBBONS! RIBBONS! I really don't think that it matters what kind of RIBBONS she wins, it's what KIND of rider she is. I don't know everything about this girl, but I'm just wondering how well she could ride a Thoroughbred or even a green warmblood. that's what matters. I mean COME ON! a MONKEY could ride a trained horse. it doesn't take alot to win on a fully trained highly-competative horse

  • That shows how ignorant you are. Fully trained, highly competitive warmbloods are some of the most finicky horses. They each are so fine tuned that if you dont ride them perfectly, they refuse to go as well as they can, rebel, or even just dont go anywhere. I've ridden green warmbloods, trained polo ponies how to jump, worked with babies, and i have to say that the fine tuned warmbloods are by FAR the hardest ride.

  • Also, at the level that she rides at, the ribbons that you win really ARE a reflection of the kind of rider that you are. Its not your local 3ft show where any kid can bump around and get lucky with a ribbon. Shes had ribbons all over the country on extremely difficult horses. Get on one of them and see if you can get the same results out of it. Doubt you can.

  • I've seen plenty of riders that do very good on a trained Warmblood but when the Warmblood acts up, the can't do diddly-squat with the horse. pretty much what I'm saying is that as long as the horse is doing perfectly fine, the rider looks great, and they win a bunch.ribbons aren't everything. I've seen really bad riders with really good horses win a blue ribbon at an A rated hunter jumper show. that doesn't neccessarily mean they are good riders. it depends on how they handle hard situations

  • Thats not true, being on a perfectly trained warmblood still doesnt give you an eye for the distance, a feel for the pace, a knowledge of how the course is going to ride etc.

Yes, a really good horse can help out, but when youre at the top of the game, only the best come out the winners.

  • hmmm...maybe in dressage, showjumping, and eventing, but I've never seen a championship eq rider bring his/her horse from scratch, so that means these horses cost a bunch of money. like I said before, I don't know much about this rider, but I would like to see her ride a Thoroughbred or a green Warmblood.I think that another reason that she is so adapted on her highly trained Warmblood is because she rides him every day. just about anyone can get used to a trained Warmblood if they ride everyday

  • chelsea used to ride at my barn. she goes through horses like socks.

  • the next to last line looked sloppy to me..

  • wow good job, we are still working on my horse... i hope you keep going bc you are good!

  • logannn :]

guys whats with the mean comments?

horseshows are supposed to be fun. you can talk if you want. stfu.

  • ok, xbarnbuminasockx your stupid! if you have ever shown at huge shows you would know you dont even know what is going on around you...all your thinking about is the list of heels down, hands closed, 3 2 1 jump, etc... not if people are talking! god! ha ha.... plus i was every interested in what ZipTheLip07 was saying about how she went straight to horses... just like me

  • haha woops last comment was from me on my brothers username.

  • it's not like she's screaming or something. & i don't think she'd be showing at Devon if she couldn't keep focused. I think she rode the course very well despite the -major- distraction of her talking from like 100 feet away..don't watch things if your going to complain. sheese.

  • omg i ddint even notice that thjis was logan!

i didnt no briannne sold him!!

  • yep. brianne sold him for about $800,000 to chelsea moss. they're not as great of a pair but they still do well :)

  • is chealsea theone that rode w/ brianne on onetello?

  • acutally wasnt it closer to 500k

  • around 750k i believe

  • really? I was pretty sure it was around 600-650k

  • I'm just gonna put this out there-give Chelsea a little bit of time to get to know Logan before you start to judge her! And the girl in the backround recoring this is really annoying!

  • i agree

  • then turn off the sound. =]

i was having a conversation with my mom & i was sick.

    way to be a jerk.

  • i meant about the whole thing about giving Chelsea a little bit of time to get to know Logan before you start to judge her. not the voice btw. i didn't mean to be mean. i didn't read the second part of the question :D

  • that horse is soooooo stunning....

  • i think she did really well..but she and logan don't seem to get along very well...I almost wonder if she bought Logan from Brianne hoping that she could be as successful as Brianne just b.c she bought her horse...but who knows

  • Yea, they really didn't want to cooperate(i don't know if that's spelled right) with each other. I just think that she wanted a horse that she knew had won alot of shows so she thought it would be an easy win.

  • yeah. i agree. Its just like Nikko and oo7.

Nikko didnt really know oo7 that well, so he didnt know what his glitches were. It takes a while for a person to figure out there horse

  • Logan is such an amazing horse..... great ride but Brianne rides him better

  • I think they looked GREAT!!! Her and Logan are a great team, but not as good as Brianne was with him. She still looked great tho.

Does she still shown Onetello? Or just Logan?

  • who's talking? coulda used some editing, nice round for the rider tho!

  • I dont want to sound mean, but she does better on Onatello. I hope the poor guy gets better....=')

  • chelsea did so good her

    i liked it

    but some people didnt

and personally i think chelsea is a great rider

she rly is good wit the horses i have seen her ride

  • He looked so SLOW!!!!!! More leg next time. Good job.

  • Logan is a great jumper, I agree, but I would say that the rider, well, she would be better off with more practice and training, of course. But nice job, and does anyone how old this girl is?

  • I think she is 17 cuz on the show horsepower she was 15 and that was taped in 2005

  • yea i think she has one more year as a junior because she was 15 during horsepower

  • i think logan is such a graceful horse and he's not sloppy at all....i would LOVE to own him!

  • i cant believe people are saying the horse is "sloppy" he's a very nice, very expensive horse.. i think he is pretty game all the time.

    hah

    i like her style..

  • She's good, but I've never been a fan of Chelsea's riding style. She doesn't give any feeling of control or confidence. She's just kind of floppy and along for the ride. Her polish hasn't improved since the 2005 season.

  • I agree! Thanks! on the post for her maclay final round I keep saying the same thing and nobody agrees! she totally depends on Logan's scope and doesnt do a thing to help if its going to be long or deep. On most other horses she would not look this good.

  • I totally agree!

  • I agree with you! Logan is an amazing horse, and he does it with no help!

  • I think this is a lot better round than her final. I would never describe her as a natural talent, but I think she's really good. I think her problem in the Maclay final is she pushed him for the long spot and saw it was the wrong decision and left him to decide, sometimes relying on our partners is the safest route to go. She's not one of the best riders, but she's damn good. I'm sure she'd kick most people's asses in a medal who are posting now - including mine.

  • Chelsea Moss looks great on Logan, but Brianne Goutal and Logan and that special connection, if you will.

  • Logan's gorgeous. But, as people have already said, he looks kinda clumsy over the jumps. I mean, i don't have much room to critique, but something looked kinda off to me.

does Horsepower still air? I've never seen it.

  • no but you can buy the DVD

  • Horsepower hasn't aired on animal planet for a couple of years now but you can buy it on dvd or watch it here on youtube. I have all the episodes listed in my favorites.

  • he jumps flat to make it easier for the rider, which is what makes him such a great eq horse, when the jump round they kind of jostle you, but he doesnt except for over oxers if you watch closely, lovely horse though!

  • yup yup yup. That's why eq horses aren't good hunter horses :P

  • Will someone tell me when chelsea bought Logan, and how much she paid 4 him?

  • Pretty horse. She's got nice Eq.

  • yea but it was ruined from the annoying voice in the backround

  • no need to be a jerk. be grateful i posted it.

  • ur voice right?

  • yes?

  • why would i be greatful? I was just saying that it would have done without the voice

  • you would be grateful this video is even up here.

you dont need to comment about my voice. i was sick. if you dont like my voice then turn off the sound. simple as that.

  • did you happen to see how far up i was? i was nowhere near the ring & i was actually prety quiet compared to the other people that were talking. get your facts straight sweetie.

  • WOW..She was really far away from the arena. You dont even notice that someone is talking when you are going around a course, youre too focused on the course.

  • she did good..

  • wut are you talking about?? LOL

  • I've never liked her equitation. Don't get me wrong, it's fine--far better than mine--but if you compare her to Brianne or Maggie, she doesn't compare. Doesn't even seem to be in the same league. The fact that of all horses, LOGAN can't improve her equitation says something...

  • to me she looks like a great rider... far better than me in equitation over fences to me 3.3' is huge 2.6' is big enough for me...

  • She's great, she's just not amazing like rider's like Maria Shaub or Brianne Goutal are, is all I'm saying.

  • aw, I love Chelsea. I met her at Lake Placid, she's sweet

  • she needed to get him moving a little bit more around that last turn, he seemed pretty close to breaking but other than that it was pretty good

  • even though ut wasnt perfect it was still really good. i dont like the fact that people say they have no connection, etc. because just from one video u can tell exactly how sshe rides and how they connect? of course not. i think she did a great job.

  • of course it looks ungraceful, dumbass. dressage is all about grace and concentration, is it not?

  • That's too expensive, especially for a horse ridden by teenagers. If you don't think so try earning that cash yourself. I have so much more respect for riders who train their own or ride difficult green horses, they show us all how real riding is done. Chelsea is a lovely rider, don't get me wrong, but it is frustrating to see such tacky amounts of cash spent on buying a gauranteed win for a kid. Sports are supposed to be a growth experience, not winning whatever the cost.

  • Logan is such a beautiful horse. Everything anyone would want. Lead changes, somewhat calm from what I have seen (besides the rearing in horse power during a lesson) and he has a *perfect* jump for equitation. But he kinda jumps funny. For some jumps, it looks like he just misses hitting a rail. How did they place in this show?

  • they were fifth...obvi

  • Do u know who won this class?

  • there were three sections...victoria birdsall won A, Carolyn Curcio won B, and Maria Schaub won C (Chelsea's section).

  • Thank you. =)

  • you're welcome =)

  • ok well the pony Cardiff Mardi Gras was sold for 500k and he is not over priced

  • you know what whatever, you little american's can overprice horses all you want. i really didn't mean to get in an arguement, just gave my opinion so you know what, I DON'T CARE what you think about it

  • Ok, if you think that 500k is too much for a horse, then it's silly you think 350k is not too much. Have an opinion, but stick with it! (or is that an american thing?)

  • nice horse but DEFINATLY not worth 500,000, i can tell you are from america, all americans over price there horses like major

  • crazyhorse: that "nice horse" as you call it WON all 4 equitation medals... hes DEFFINATLY worth $500,000 if not more!

  • look don't get me wrong its a REALLY nice mover and jumper. but 500k is way too much, 300k i think is more reasonable, my friend has 2 horses that are moving into grand prix really nice horses jump the moon and there both worth about 350k each.

  • When you ride at the top leval like brianne did, horses like that are that much money. they aren't over priced because they are worth that much. espically logan because he won all 4 equitation medals!!

  • i think 500 is a steal for that horse! logan is AMAZING and NOBODY has ever won all four equitation finals--he was the FIRST to do it in the history of those horse shows so i know that 500 is almost too LITTLE for him! hes so amazing

  • Actually he only won THREE of the four. Brianne rode one of her jumpers, Onira, to the win in the USET Finals. Still, a very neat horse. I just saw Chelsea show him in the Hamptons this weekend.

  • That's because it was LOL He sold for $725,000. I know that because Frank told me trainer.

  • I cannot type. Just to clarify that I'm not an idiot: I meant "my" trainer..not "me" trainer..=P

  • do you know who that horse is? Logan, Brianne Goutal's ex Equitation Horse.

The ONLY horse to win all 4 Equitation Finals EVER.

His show record speaks for his price alone, not to mention how easy of a ride he is.

  • HE DID NOT WIN ALL 4 FINALS. Brianne won all four, he won three. She rode a different horse in USET Finals.

  • ahh sorry, youre right, she rode Onira (or was it Orion?) for the USET Talent search. Brain spasm.

  • i think its usef now..?

  • I think Chelsea has a better bond with Onatello and she loves him, but Logan really helps her with confidence issues. She bought Logan from Brianne for $500,000

  • Like in real life, Or just in Horsepower. No horse is worth $500,000, you could buy a HUGE house with that money.

  • In real life. Yeah there are A lot of horses that sell for that much. Rodrigo Pessoa's stallion is worth 10 million but he will never sell that horse. And a lot of people who do these big shows have a lot of money.

  • Holy F***. I never knew tht. AHHHHHHHH. sry i am just A BIT jelous. lol. jk

  • its okay....

  • Actually, it was $725,000.

  • oh. wow. lol thanks for telling me.

  • Brianne sold Logan to Chelsea :( I always thought Brianne was more graceful on him than chelsea :)

  • I always thought Chels had beautiful eq. That was a great round.

  • yeah I would love to have a horse like Logan! He does everything so perfect all the time.

  • her horses name isnt logan thats brianne's horses name

  • never mind

  • Logan is a super horse-he could do that course without a rider! He always looks so willing and I wonder if he knows how much North America LOVES him!

  • He's soo o consistent he's like the perfect hunter/eq horse!

  • logan is a really good horse- it must be so relaxing to ride a horse who really knows his stuff like he does.

  • Do not critique her- that is not her job, it is her trainer's. Also, Chagall belonged to Natalie Johnson, not Sloan Coles. It is not uncommon to have horses from famous people and trainers. All of our babies at our barn go to Aaron Vale for showjumper training. Chelsea does still show Onatello, but Logan is more experienced and is a confidence builder.

  • no one was critquing her, pumpkin ;-)

people were saying how great she looked. so calm the hell down, okay?
