  • lay off the cocaine

  • Just Get a Soder Gun u asshole!

  • will u hack me tenth on mw2 plz

  • Could of just bought a new drive, dumped the key from the old one and flashed it to the new drive and btw it's not a chip, it's a logic board with chips on lol

  • @kennydude19 he could have or his old drive might have gotten fried and was unable to retrieve the key.

  • i dont cut wires... i solder them

  • dude that noice is disgusting

  • hah I just use a lighter to take the plastic off the ends of the wires!

  • Hey guys, sorry i haven't been able to respond to any of your questions lately, don't get on here much, but if you absolutely need an answer you can find me on facebook Collinsville Area XBOX 360 RLOD Repair, i check that A LOT more often than this. Now: UnD3adC1an, yes, as far as i know, not an expert on flashing. EGAXLE, as far as i know yes and do that to be safe. again, hit me up on facebook and I'll be able to answer your questions a lot sooner than a month later LOL

  • i have a question and PLEASE ANSWER BACK????? if i buy a replacement motherboard my dvd keys will not match so if i flash my dvd drive with the replacement motherboard will it work?

  • i assume you need to get the same firmwear version drive for swaping your chipset around?

  • @EGAXLE from what ive been reading it doesnt matter which firmware. because your replacing the chip with yours

  • Thanks for the clip - very informative - let me have your address and I'll mail you some hankies for that cold!!

  • u cood also try soldering

  • is it possible to swap a toshiba dvd drive chip with a benq? if so please tell me step by step???!!!!!!????

  • no ya cant

  • My benq drive is giving me problems and I dont want to have to flash... I have a question for you. I know its alot easier for the hitachi and samsung/phillips drives to just switch the circuitboards. Would I really have to cut wires and everything that it shows in your video just to swap my old benq drives circuitboard to a new benq drive? Thanx.

  • Where did you get your replacement drive? Or better yet were have people been getting them. I see some online, but the vendors seem shady soooo I have been hesitant.

  • How do you cut and re-atach the wires

  • sorry to anyone who does this and messes up their XBOX, you have to be careful when you put the drive back in, just even tapping the CPU heatsink can cause red ring. Although this is not in my video, I thought I should let you know. Other than that, the wires are simply current-carriers and thus you can just twist them togther and use some electrical tape over that to ensure no grounding takes place. And YES IT WAS A BEN-Q DRIVE,

  • i bought this drive from ebay, but from what i understand, there is a few versions. hope i got the right one.

  • well i did this and i think i may have got the white wires backwards... when i tryed it and turned it on my screen was just black with some white fuzz. then got 3 red lights... lol.. now paying like 80 for repairs soo lost

  • I'm confused, so how do you put the wires together?

  • Great video tryed it works good!!!!

  • I did it and it works 100% and no live ban.

  • @BRILLOPADral No ban at all? You positive?

  • is there a way to swap the actrual chips on the drives motherboards instead of cutting the wires because my mother board power cord thing is messed up

  • yes

  • does it work
