Why couldnt they put this concept out like there showing instead of a dulled down version. Dont get me wrong, I love my Koup but the concept looks amazing!
In all seriousness it's not THAT different from the actual road car ... sure this one is a bit chunkier in some areas, and the headlights are different but really, at least it's close .. most road cars look nothing like their concepts. I gotta say thought, I wish the Koup had those back seats .. much cooler than the 3 seating option.
@XDIshMeWooHooXD concepts arent economical, the materials used cost wayyy more than the car is worth. they just make the concepts to hype you up for the actual car which usually looks wort than the concept
@Viruspirate The materials aren't the issue but the exact style and look of the concepts that should be used on the production car. The car companies should use as much concept car styling as possible on a production car to make it street legal. When they come out with the real car, it never looks as good as the concept.
Please help!! I'm in Australia (Sydney) & have the 2010 Koup - does anyone know where I can obtain a body kit and/or bonnet scoop for this car online? I've been looking everywhere and all the accessories on eBay are rubbish!
@yokhana Kia Canada has a body kit for the Koup, the new model that has the kit is called the Koup SXR, have your dealer try to order the body kit from a Canadian dealer. It was released less than a month ago.
@yokhana hey mate. your best bet would be to contact a large body kit company in sydney and ask them. they could have contacts in korea or japan that could have them. but if i were u id spend money on making the car faster and powerful since the koup already is hella sexy. cheers
The car is great for kia compared to the nissan's 350 and 370z but why is it so high in price when it has the same qualites.Thats why kia suck they want sell there cars for a reasonable price to compete with other car manufacturs. A nice car for people to look at thats all because of the price range..!
Looks really Civic-y to me. Has the EVO's low grill with the nose shape of the redesigned Civic Coupe (Si) down to the Civic's headlights. Rear end looks like a Acura RSX. However the interior is really really nice looking; edgy and futuristic. If Kia can deliver a production version with the performance of this concept (290bhp) then I think this car will force many people to re-evaluate Kia a compact sport contender.
Its deff hot but im not sold on Kia just yet ..If they want to be taken seriously, thier build quality & reliability factors have to come on par with say Honda, or Nissan, Just yesterday I say a Kia being towed away due to failure
actually they have models now ranked higher then both Toyota and Honda according to JD Powers! Honda still holds 1st place but Toyota is suffering badly due to quality control and reliability. Plus Kia's warranty crushes them both!
I worked for a Honda dealer for 5 1/2 years and saw lots of Hondas being towed. That does not make it a bad car. There is no car manufacturer on par with Honda. They were ranked number 1 in 2008. Nissan is way below that-as a matter of fact, Kia ranked higher then Nissan. I have inside info that the Kia Koup is coming to the states with the turbo 2.0 liter engine producing close to 300hp! Whoever considers a srt-4, should consider this car.
