Do you think you could use egg on the baked ones instead of butter? It would make is so much more healthier hey? And Who knows, maybe is would help with juiciness or tenderness as well.
@therealALYS09 that's a good question. I don't know that they'd retain their crunchiness but you can try...spray it with that Pam stuff on top and on the tin foil when reheating and that may work
@aohmann It was sweet and sour dip. Whenever I get Bainy nuggets, I ask for a dip anyway. He doesn't use them, but we'll invariably use them for something
Nice, i love learning different ways to bread chicken (with different spices and different dredges and different crusts like cornflakes or potato chips). Thanks :D
You know I like this LOL! Going to start making Logan's instead of going out all the time. I always used just flour. And never thought of bread crumbs and or eggs!!
They do look really good. I like them a little better baked as well. I made some the other night with baked eggplant & they were both tender & crispy. I minced onion & added to mayo, then just coated sliced eggplant & chicken tenders with the mayo, then tossed in breadcrumbs. I did turn them both about halfway through so both sides were nicely browned. Thanks!!
I made these the other night in a shallow fry pan cause I didn't want to put the oven on. I used egg and crumbs, onion and garlic powder, paprike and s&p. They were really good. I wish I had sweet/sour sauce for them. I love that! Great minds think alike!
The great thing about doing these at home verses getting store bought...you can add whatever seasoning you like & control the sodium. Yours looked delicious. : )
We use seasoned corn flour to fry chicken and fish down here in the swamp. I like to mix a little SR white flour to the corn flour. Makes great onion rings too! These puppies look good! PS I had my money on the fried
may i suggest you try adding cornflakes, a bit of butter and some garlic to your bread before crumbing it for something like this? the cereal adds crunch, the butter makes it more golden, prevents burning and helps the mix stick better and the garlic? well who doesnt love garlic? plus it's good for you! ;)
just a suggestion, but i really hope you try it! :)
@snarkdetriomphe hmm I wonder if thee is a clone recipe for hot mustard sauce? Here we make it with dry mustard and shoyu, but I doubt that is how McD's do it
@CookingAndCrafting Beef have you done the shredded beef in the crock pot with liptons onion soup mix yet? Man that stuff is just amazingly awesome. One of my favorites and easy peasy.
Guess what I'm havin for dinner tonight...lol Just bought a huge bag of chicken tenders at Costco last week I'll do it the lazy way though I'll shake and bake then love using the pork SnB on chicken giving it a little kick with putting some chayanne pepper in the SnB bag...makin a little salad and callin it dinner! lol
They look awesome! Think I'll try the baked ones this weekend. Maccy D's sweet and sour is the best dipping sauce ever!! Speaking of McDonalds, have you ever tried making your own big mac sauce? I've seen quite a few recipes for it on YouTube. Xxx
I love it when you get your family's opinion too. Your mom is a cool lady, but she would have to be to have a daughter like you.
You always cook in a very sanitary manner and I don't understand people's need to be hypercritical. Although if people stopped leaving dumb comments on YouTube, the world as we know it would probably stop spinning.
@jayneleigh10 Yeah, kinda tiredof the hypercriticals. It's almost as though they can't muster up a "yum!" and have to instead talk about cross contamination (rolling eyes)
hahaa, i m glad thr was sm more left to taken in to photographs at the end !!!! hehee im so hungry now n its midnight in my country,hv to wait till morning to make these...probably i hv to fry ...
@hw1986430 I know, I almost forgot! My brother watched this video and said, "I don't remember chicken nuggets!" hahaha I made these on the weekend when he was out with his buddies
@rozozzy Naw, that is the color of that baking sheet. If you'll look close, you'll see where the surface is scratched off in many places and you can see the steel underneath it
@CookingAndCrafting We're moving this weekend, so we're trying to use up as much food as we can so we don't have to transport as much. lol. I'll be trying these next week though for sure.
@dinotoria UGH!! Good luck on that move. I tell you what, I moved way too many times in my lifetime. Once I bought this house, when I moved in the last box--I said "thank God I am NEVER moving again!" I do not envy you your weekend
@CookingAndCrafting haha. thanks! i'm not dreading it too bad. once i'm moving stuff i'll hate it, but we don't have to be out of this place until the end of the month, so we're doing most of it this weekend, but can slowly get the rest over the next couple of weeks.
this is my 9th move since 2007. i'm hoping to stay in the new place for a couple of years at least. once we buy a house though i have no intention of moving ever again either. lol.
@dreamer72fem Yep, I have done them with the whole tenders too. The lady that requested them wanted kid sized stuff. Perfect! I didn't want to bread and fry them to make them look like Mickey Dees though. These were better!
