  • Good video. Nothing to compare, its purely a skill lesson. The language he's speaking is Cantonese, and some people may not understand him, but that doesn't make the commenting silly.

  • looks Korean

  • Excellent efficient badminton footwork. Silly commenting though.

  • ouaaaa I love this music xD

  • this is in cantonese nice man

  • i believe this guy is Xiong Guobao, the 3rd singles player in the era of Yang Yang and Zhao Jianhua. He uses his backhand like his forehand or perhaps better :)

  • then is he the one that some badminton fan compare with taufik's backhand?

I wonder who is better ....

  • Naahh you rarely get ths guys video around. I have this video where he teaches various sorts of backhand too. Hot stuff really. Youngster nowadays only see Taufik, not Xiong Guobao. but my pick is Xiong.

  • yea I know .. people comparing his backhand with taufik ... many player now a day dont know our old powerful player , they only see what they can see right now ...

  • Very useful to me. Thanks for your posting.

  • 唔該哂 好有用

  • absolutely goofy music & shorts! good tips though.

  • omg funniest vid ever

  • very very good ... excellent

  • y the heck wud u give a comment that makes no sense to this video?

  • yyea this is kinda co0l..i mean..one of the most important factors in badminton is the foot work..great!

  • GAWD THIS IS GREAT

  • wow thats soo cool, he does most of his moves with his left foot moving first! wtf! crazy.

  • aa video ki music enti ra pichi lanje

  • Excellent. everyone should try the forehand defensive net approach shown here. much easier the other way, with the second step, the left foot in the front.

  • sorry, should read much better than the other way

  • it's backhand

  • Nice, very practical. Wish its only in english

  • haha yeah agreed

  • wouldn't help, the visual is enough, i know what he's saying and it's not helping as much as the visual =)

  • thanks very much, it is so interesting

  • umm gay. i just run around in in a random pattern and pwn n00bs.

  • yes you can soooo beat these pros, lawl. its not wrong, just cause your coach taught you a different way doesnt mean its wrong. i use 3-4 different footwork styles and they all seem to work the same.

  • fyi, player is XiongGuoBao.

  • great teaching it helps alot

  • Who is the player? Han Jian?

  • Excellent presentation ... wish it was in English, but visual demonstration is very informative.

  • my favourite!! ;-) hehe thanks uploader!

  • deathwish er u badminton noob?? i din see any wrong footwrk there... lol mayb u can post a same style video n u as the instructor.. show me the corect footwork..

  • its not wrong, but it just old

modern footwork, like the ones of international players right now, take many more shortcuts

  • bunun türkcesi yok mu yaa :)

  • when do they take place?

  • If you'd like to watch the 2007 World Badminton Championships Men's Singles Final, the match is on my profile! Features Indonesia's Sony Dwi Kuncoro taking on the world no.1 Lin Dan of China :)

  • Nice and informative. So this is the kinda stuff that Chinese coaches impart their champs eh? Video sez it all...

  • hung chau ning cau hat??? if anyone understand something he odr she sould translate it for the rest of th world please:-D

  • it's freaking wrong.. lol..

  • is this like the old style of playing???

  • I don't think so

  • Don't listen to it it is telling you everything wrong!

  • i don't think it's wrong. back then, the play was much much slower, and more technical, which is why they use the chasse step. now, you want faster movement, so you cross your legs, or on the back hand corner, twist and leaps.

  • First thing first, the comentary is in cantonese.

The player is called 熊國寶. One of the great's of the mid to late 80's. So 'midnight' show some respect. I've also got this whole vcd at home hehe.

  • hehehehe, me canto, i understand xD

  • lol funny

  • Nice lesson. I like it. It would be very great if there is English translation. Eventhough I don't understand what he is saying, by looking at it and remembering what my friends taught me in the court, I sort of understand how to do stuff in the court.

  • HAHAHAH CANTONESE VIDEO. Even I can't understand what he's saying.

  • lol wtf is he wearing? it's so old! i'd hate to be the demonstrator coz you look like such a tool. but this is quite informative

  • Great!!

But,I tihnk it might be good to have an english version because infos are the best way to follow the steps in this video.

    Thank you.
