I would like to set things straight. Pittsburgh Slim was not dropped by Def Jam, we requested the release. Jay Z and the entire team that supported Slim either departed or we asked to leave Def Jam prior to the album release. While the label was figuring out what they wanted to do Slim went on to appear in the movie "The Bleeding" and is linned up for a few more. He has also been writing new music and right now is enjoying touring, writing and filming as an indpenedent artist.

Not related to Slim, Def Jam made significant people cut backs related to their business which hurt slim and a lot of the Def Jam artists. The week before Slim's album came out they fired the marketing people at Def Jam on the project. I dont know who u r or the axe you have against Slim, but you have no idea what you are talking about.Isnt that how most artists get on who they know?
