Download .iso (650mb) from ubuntu main site (32 or 64 bit processor version), burn iso image with your burning program (burn iso from file option), at pc startup enter into bios and set CD Rome device to first boot device, save&reboot insert burned cd, install et voila!!

Io non lo uso, trovo più comodo il menu classico.
Nei repo di lucid è presente.
Dai
$ sudo apt-get install gnome-control-center
per installarlo.
