This wasn't really done correctly anyways but when you change your chain you should replace your front and rear sprockets as well because it would cause faster and un even wearing.
im all about cutting unneccessary work out of the equation as long as it ends up to be the right way to be assembled so im gunna try that thanx i actually appreciate different shit. saves me 2 hrs of labor
@JustForFun248 Stop stereotyping Americans you prick. You watch this one video and you say Americans don't have a lot of practical skills? You're a moron. Learn how to use proper grammar before talking shit dumbass.
Or you can grind through the old chain leave it on the bike then attach the new chain to that with the new split link then pull it through works for me :)
I didn't see any sprockets getting replaced. You'd have to take the sprocket cover off for that, then you wouldn't need to dick around with a shoe lace. Also, was he suggesting you use a spring clip link on a sports bike chain????!!!!!! Duh!
Feeding a brand new chain over a countershaft sprocket you can't see is madness. You are going to want to check the sprocket for wear and, in fact, replacing the front sprocket is a no-brainer anyway at roughly $Aus30 (say $US25). Replace sprockets at the same time as the chain.
easily done even a mechanic though i was taking the piss but it wasnt sparking till top end and knocking the crank the other way making the bike go backwards in all gears =P
this is the dumbest way ive seen someone replace a chain, dont listen to these guys invest in the right tools and get directions from your motorcycle forum:)
never start it untill the chain is on compleatly or off complealty i killed my four wheeler like that shattered the crank case for the 10 th time it had jumped off and done it b4 tho on its own
it would have been quicker to undo the 6 screws on the chain cover than all the f***ing around

What I do is connecting the new chain with old one then roll it over until the new chain is properly laid over the front sprocket.

Not going to follow this "Expert" advice... Would rather keep my shoe lace on my shoe, and not in my chain!

much much easier is to connect the new chain to the old chain and pull it through using the old chain, much much easier.
