Hm... Pokemon in real life would be terrible. I'd use scyther and there'd be guts everywhere after battle. Yeah, you go ahead and run the giblets of your clefairy along to the pokemon center, I'm sure they'll be able to reattach everything. Primeape would eat your pokemon's face off after jumping on it and bashing it nearly to death. You'd definitely need cloning technology in order to keep your pokemon.

@KyuubiKhaos Except for the fossil Pokémon. Electric is 2x effective against Aerodactyl, and the Kabuto and Omanyte lines. Going by anime logic, though, they only rarely seem to take secondary typing into account. And then there is the sheer and utter lunacy on the scale of electrifying Rhydon's horn. Also, I lol'd at Ghost-types being effective against Sabrina, as in Gen I the only Ghost-type attack besides Night Shade was Lick which did nothing, and they all had secondary Poison typing.
