Epicon was special in that one way we all know. Break From This World is not less special in a different way... These two masterpieces are my favorites of all the albums ever made by any artist. Though I cannot choose which I like more. As I said they're special in different ways.
Right, I'm straight onto Amazon to see if I can get hold of a copy, these were all awesome, as in every single track had my blood blasting through my veins and my hairs standing on end.
great sound.. but i think this style is a lot messy... what do you exactly want to do? rock? orchestral? trailer music?
all messed and mixed up. I don't find much balance in their composition. Just randomly written...
There are many stupid composers who write songs in wrong ways... the balance is what makes combination. This is really terrible example of messy music.
@prsguitar22 I know what you're saying. They've got different sounds but that is because the singers come from different genres. They've come together to give voice to intstrumental trailer music with various styles.
The original pieces come from different Albums as well but they still fit together as instrumental music. Adding different voices makes it incoherent for those who aren't familiar with the originals. But I love all these songs so for me they fit together and create a perfect album.
@prsguitar22 They should not do that. Some songs suddenly come up with RnB and some songs come up with World, and suddenly Rock.... this really makes this project cheap as hell. Good albums have constant in style and balance in combination of genres. This guys really don't understand how to make 'Complete' album, a piece of work.
Do you think collecting music from a whole bunch of genres make better album? That's rather like a compilation album. It doesn't represent any of artists who are in.
@prsguitar22 Did you just comment on yourself to make it look as if more people share your opinion?
Because I'm sure there are those who agree with you, but this isn't helping your case.
My copy should be arriving today so until then I won't be able to really judge this album. But Epicon was also a mix of various styles but I still enjoyed it as an album. It shouldn't work as one album but it did and I wouldn't want it to be anything else.
@prsguitar22 I do agree that the music did bear some discontinuities within itself. In all fairness, I was expecting a "complete" album, as you put it. Did I get what I expected? No. Was the album bad because of that? No. Was it worth what I paid for it? Absolutely. I still say "Epicon" is further up on the list of my favorite albums, but that doesn't mean I'm going to throw this one into a box in my garage and forget about it. If a "complete" song is what you're after, "In Memoriam" is closest
This new singer (A Thousand Deaths, Amazing Grace) is awesome. A good addition to the original band... but still the best vocal is Scott Ciscon (Madre Terra, In Memoriam, Diem Ex Dei - Live).
@Sheodon The singer for A Thousand Deaths is the same as Orchard of Mines, Europa and Take Me Away. But in all honesty, Scott Ciscon is definitely the best.
Also Lisbeth Scott (Preliator/Live, Diem ex Dei - Live, Doomsday) is amazing.
@SandOprods Actually, the singer for A Thousand Deaths is Ryan Hanifl; Globus' new Artist, who is on quite a few of the other tracks from BFTW. The singer from the tracks you mentioned is Daniel Pursey, and the only tracks he seems to be performing from the new album is Wyatt Earth and Black Parade. Hopefully that helps. :)
@SandOprods The singer of A Thousand Deaths seems more like the singer of Amazing Grace than the original guy singer for Orchard of Mines, Europa etc. Just listen Amazing Grace, and Wyatt Earth, and you can hear the difference in their voice.
And yeah, Lisbeth Scott is also good, but Scott Ciscon is the most emotional singer in the group. His voice is perfect for trailer musics.
@7cruz90 August 26th, but they will make it possible to pre-order the album! If you have Facebook, become a fan of their official site, and go to their official website and become a member, so you can get newsletters and such! :)
Wow, if a song makes me stop it after 17 seconds, you know it's bad.
I usually LOVE Immediate Music's stuff, but as soon as you put in pop-like vocals, it ruins the song for me. Sorry, Immediate Music's stuff should be unaltered and not infected with pop lyrics.

@sharpsh0oter Doomsday will probably be a single, since they're holding a video contest. The mission of the contest is to make an official music video of Doomsday with recorded material with Lisbeth Scott singing in the studio ;)
When trying to plug "Epicon" to my friends, the best description I could formulate was that it was "an experience" (which is saying something, because I can't shut up about most things I enjoy). Now, what on the gods' green Earth am I going to say about this album?
"And I breath in fire and ash, all for the sake of love. And I die a thousand deaths, all for the sake of love..." I <3 the lyrics of "A Thousand Deaths"
@Doughshite Yeah :) Kind of hard to find out what they really sing in all the songs actually. Can't wait for the release date so I can get the lyrics with the CD! :D
@Doughshite The most annoying thing about guessing the lyrics is that when they're out we'll be like, dang why didn't I think of that xD
You wake up unbelieving, this day will end by evening, it's doomsday, ascending, the world you know is ending. Streams will rise and the burns something something win the I'm pretty sure it's going to say Fight at the end. Infact it may be Streams will rise and the burn to survive win the fight. Though there seems to be an S, Sustain?
I'm sorry that doubted the new album but the first song I got on to the network was horrible. THIS IS INCREDIBLE, I'm waiting on the official premiere and I'm going to buy a CD, "Epicon" let me down this well.
@Morukan1 Yes... Or no :P There's only two source tracks/instrumentals available for the public: Invictus, which Black Parade is based on, and Age of Discovery, which Elegy is based on ;)
@MsExplodingapples :) I love Break from this World and it's not even out yet. Considering it's an 8 minute video, and that Epicon's music averages at about 4:30, and that it's 11 songs. That gives nearly 50 minutes of pure album entertainment! <3 - H
@Doughshite ... 70? Sweet! I figure then they're all above 6 minutes which is fantastic! Perhaps one or two of them will be familiar to Diem Ex Dei, builds up, stays at peak, and then goes down in the final seconds <3
Prelude was awesome as a 4-5 minute video though, the music video makes it feel so emotional and I honestly love it. :D - H
If they are all of approx equal length they would be around 6mins 13secs each but 'Terminal' is said to be 7mins long so there is at least 1 that is 5 mins approx long ;)
@Doughshite THAT is very nice to hear. One thing though, Wyatt Earth is 5 minutes long in a video, I can't remember the name or provide a link but I'm certain it's been released somehow beforehand to this album... what gives? :D - H
@Doughshite Ah, thanks dude. Mind if I ask what happened to Prelude? CrazyManU (or whatever his name is... it's difficult remembering :D ) has a different version than that of Globusmusic's which is more of a music video. They're both great and I love each one for different things (even though there's not a great deal of difference), I just would like to know what versions they each are :D
@Doughshite It was Dann P who sung Prelude, correct? I've seen "globusmusic"'s music video of Prelude and oh my God it is outstanding. I don't know why but it's nostalgic and the video in the backround is pretty empty... The house and the scenes of it though look so old and it reminds me of how I thought of my own when I was younger... awesome. <3 - H
@Doughshite lol, I think that's the most ironic thing. :)
I've been looking at more of Globus' cast and I really love the amount of people and types of people they have. Dann P has said in interviews that he has no real belief in religion but is undecided, I love that so much. When you sing and do music at this level I can understand how you would be open to religion, or that something is out there - I don't believe in it, but I will always be open to it <3
Yeah a good sized cast allows for a variety of styles and variety prevents monotony.
Completely hypothetical situation: If you were presented with absolute undeniable proof of the existence of a god or gods would you believe in it or them? personally I probably would if there was something other than an ancient (possibly fictional, could even be awfully translated or even both) book to say that it is true.
Also yeah the transitions are amazing in this medley. I hope the same :)
@Doughshite I would certainly believe in them - but I would not worship a God that is certainly there. If anything, I would despise a God who made us so we could worship him, that, and I wouldn't take his morality word for word, because I doubt any hypothetical God would be a moral genius, given how nature works etc. :D
Are you religious btw? And yes, Dann P said he loves the variety and the "larger than life" play... fantastic. <3 - H
@Doughshite Indeed. I'm glad you've realized that, because currently human indoctrination of religion is what causes sheer determination of these preachers - there's little you can do to combat them, you have a sword of logic? They have armor of ignorance, and then proceed to accuse you of the same. It takes a great orator to be able to prove a religious person wrong on many or all points made. - H
I find it quite fun to argue with overly religious people, especially when you go and twist their own words to use against them most people I've argued about religion with in RL go mute after 2 mins of me doing that :D
@Doughshite It's much more taxing ACTUALLY trying to convince them, mind you :P
Doing it in the manner you said can be abrupt and leave a bad impression, I have to debate on their terms and if they prove too persistant I'll move to better pastures - like the whole argument we was on about was actually considering a hypothetical situation. It's often much easier.
Overreligious people? They crack me up like "Why is it always Atheists answering?!?!" They won't answer themselves lol! :D
@Darkseeker109 A third? This year? They're releasing Break from this World this summer, where did you think they're releasing a third one on Christmas? :D - H
Epicon was special in that one way we all know. Break From This World is not less special in a different way... These two masterpieces are my favorites of all the albums ever made by any artist. Though I cannot choose which I like more. As I said they're special in different ways.

Pretty sure CrazyManU's is studio version <3

@Thecrazyhide
I'm not sure what you mean....

@Doughshite watch?v=xHWI6IOpMyY Here's the music video.
watch?v=KMlh7dS1hH0 Here's the one from CraZymAnU24.
The first one I'm unsure what it is, I'll just say it's edited, the second one I'm fairly certain is studio :D

@Thecrazyhide
The first 1 is the music vid of a pre-release version of prelude (there are some very obvious bits missing but is the same as on Globus's channel)
2nd is the ALBUM version most likely final version that we all know and love from epicon
If any of that helps o.o
Doughshite 9 months ago
@Doughshite It did. :)
Man... I was wrong :<
And yeah the final version is amazing, although the video footage from the pre-release is outstanding. <3 - H

@MsExplodingapples Fuck yes. Loving this new singer.

@Hakkar6993
Ryan Hanifl is pretty damn good, but the album needs more Dann P, Scot Ciscon and Lisbeth Scott as well imo
In fact more of every singer that's part of Globus :P
Doughshite 9 months ago
@Doughshite Can't get enough of that A Thousand Deaths, I WANT THE FULL VERSION.
Hakkar6993 9 months ago
@Doughshite It was Dann P who sung Prelude, correct? I've seen "globusmusic"'s music video of Prelude and oh my God it is outstanding. I don't know why but it's nostalgic and the video in the backround is pretty empty... The house and the scenes of it though look so old and it reminds me of how I thought of my own when I was younger... awesome. <3 - H

@Doughshite Doomsday was pretty awesome for me, but I wanna see the first one and definitely the second one too :D

Thecrazyhide 9 months ago
@Thecrazyhide
Yeah Doomsday sounds awesome as well (all the songs do :D)
Lisbeth Scott makes the end of the world seem like a not-so-bad thing if it means her singing about it :D.
Doughshite 9 months ago
@Doughshite lol, I think that's the most ironic thing. :)
I've been looking at more of Globus' cast and I really love the amount of people and types of people they have. Dann P has said in interviews that he has no real belief in religion but is undecided, I love that so much. When you sing and do music at this level I can understand how you would be open to religion, or that something is out there - I don't believe in it, but I will always be open to it <3
I just hope globus is remembered

@Thecrazyhide
Doughshite 9 months ago
@Doughshite I would certainly believe in them - but I would not worship a God that is certainly there. If anything, I would despise a God who made us so we could worship him, that, and I wouldn't take his morality word for word, because I doubt any hypothetical God would be a moral genius, given how nature works etc. :D
Are you religious btw? And yes, Dann P said he loves the variety and the "larger than life" play... fantastic. <3 - H
Thecrazyhide 9 months ago
@Thecrazyhide
I used to be religious but I'm not any more. How sad, lonely and dare I say it pathetic must a god be to create a civilisation purely to worship it?
Doughshite 9 months ago
@Doughshite Indeed. I'm glad you've realized that, because currently human indoctrination of religion is what causes sheer determination of these preachers - there's little you can do to combat them, you have a sword of logic? They have armor of ignorance, and then proceed to accuse you of the same. It takes a great orator to be able to prove a religious person wrong on many or all points made. - H

@Thecrazyhide
I find it quite fun to argue with overly religious people, especially when you go and twist their own words to use against them most people I've argued about religion with in RL go mute after 2 mins of me doing that :D
Doughshite 9 months ago
@Doughshite It's much more taxing ACTUALLY trying to convince them, mind you :P
Doing it in the manner you said can be abrupt and leave a bad impression, I have to debate on their terms and if they prove too persistant I'll move to better pastures - like the whole argument we was on about was actually considering a hypothetical situation. It's often much easier.
Overreligious people? They crack me up like "Why is it always Atheists answering?!?!" They won't answer themselves lol! :D
