This is one of the few songs I really dig from this guy. Word of mouth is the only album of his I liked enough to buy. Got it in a used LP store in London :P
Jaco introduced me to The Beatles, Joni Mitchell, Pat Metheny, Joe Zawinul, Jazz, Steel drums, THE BASS, Toots and how to appreciate music. Spread the word. JP
...I feel like I'm driving through the desert in some beat up old volkswagen that's covered in a collage of art and I'm ready to take a stop and rest underneath a fold-out awning attached to the volkswagen that has some glass chimes hanging down from it and, while resting, I listen to some super old and dirty radio playing with just barely enough transmission and I'm drinking a soda, savouring a life of careless freedom...
@Thepopdelusion trust me I am a Jaco-ologist. I own the LP, remastered CD and I also play bass. This song is in the key of A but this youtube clip is sped up to the key of A#
Trust me. I know. I own this LP myself. The slight speed shift makes the song end ten seconds before the "real" version. My guess is that the uploader changed the key in order to make the video undetectable to the youtube censors. Sorry for the cheap joke.
Wonderful song done Wonderfully.I am ashamed because although I have heard and owned this song, but not the album, I'm ashamed that I do not know the name of the Harmonica player...
Many years ago, when I was a cocky kid who thought he knew it all. Jaco was one of several bassists I'd heard that made me realize how little I knew. The older I get, the more I appreciate this man's skills. I've come a long way since I was a 19 year old kid who could successfully cop a few Billy Sheehan licks...
The very 1st time I listened to this song it made me smile...to me it sounds delightly childish and tastes like freedom in the evening...THANKS JACO!!!

@VoidAssassin You don't need a school to study music!
Music is all about expressing what YOU FEEL AND HEAR in youre mind
and nobody else can teach you that other than yourself!
Music schools is like rectifiers making you sound much like everybody else!
Jaco didn't need no friggin school!
