Even now he's spinning in a circle, drooling, and singing the same two lines of a song over and over, which makes me smile but others turn away in disgust. His teachers, my sister, our cousins, no one understands. the world is a cruel, unjust place.
When he was reading the e-mail, I almost started crying myself because I can relate, though not in the exact same way. My little brother is mildly autistic, not where you can tell right away but if you spend half an hour with him you know something's not right. It breaks my heart when I see all the neighbors shun him for my younger brother, to see them give him dirty looks because he's different. To know that even his very best friends take advantage of his disability by ordering him around.
People who say oh she dose this or that or she tries too hard or she just isn't a girl, this is her life not yours. The last thing anyone needs is someone telling them who they are or what they "need" to do. If you don't like it great it's not your life so you don't have to deal with it, problem solved.
@momobobo74 very true but it doesn't help those of us trying to understand, when this programme talks about her feeling she's a girl only due to her love of fashion, from what I've gathered. If her parents had said she always seemed like a girl because she was so sensitive & quiet, hated rough & tumble, was so emotionally aware, liked baby dolls n baby animals etc - it would make more sense to me - I don't c fashion or flamboyance as particularly untypical for guys/unmasculine.
@MystyMary I think you are stuck on the perception that she may just be gay because you consider her body movement and demeanor to be girlish. Do a google search on Harry Benjamin who created the original document on transgender guidelines and his in depth research and analysis which later evolved into the DSM guidelines that is used globally by APA and AMA in treating and diagnosing "perceived gender identity traits". If you read this you will have a better understanding.
@Jensagirl ps I don't think her body movement and manner are girlish - I think they seem *womanly*, precocious. Not to make too much of it though - some little girls are mature, self-aware and confident at that age.
@iamanastyfreak it's people like you that make the world a hard place to live in. You are so narrow minded and really just fucked up. What right do you have to say how this girl should live and that she won't be able to have relationships she has a wonderful personality which is way more then anyone can say for you. And she has the best parents in the world and u wonder if her dad abuses her? You refuse to see the good in her life and try to make up a bad in it. Your life must be so great. I
I think Jazz seems charming, but she doesn't come across as a typical little girl to me. My idea of a typical little girl is that of someone quiet and shy, gentle and timid, a little tearful n whiny sometimes - whereas Jazz seems very lively & confident - ebullient. Jazz seems precocious in her tastes n self-awareness; I think her clothes n presentation seem exaggerately womanly, (a shoulders-revealing blouse?!) In fact, a word that comes to mind to wrap it all up is flamboyant.
@imanastyfreak OH HE'LL YEA U R A NASTY FREAK ! SICK IN A HEAD WITH NO SOUL TOO! she's a pretty girl thats#1 and a lot of girls have bigger ears , ,noses, head etc NOT EVERYONE ON THIS PLANET IS THE SAME I THINK IT'S AMAZING TO BE DIFFERENT AND WE PPL NEED TO LEARN HOW TO ACCEPT THAT NOT EVERYONE IS THE SAME AND THAT'S JUST FINE, ,,GOD RABBIT WE LIVE IN 21 c
THE SOCCER PART IS WRONG! THEY SHOULD ALLOW HER TO PLAY !!!!! CAN I FIND A PETTITION TO SIGHN ??? SO THAT THEY WOULD LET HER PLAY AND STOP DESCRIMINATING AGAINST A LIL GIRL !!! U R A AING JAZZ! U ROLE U R AMAZING YOUR STORY MADE ME CRY ! STAY TRUE TO WHO U R !!!!! I LOVE U KEEP IT UP BABY GIRL!
The part about the soccer really gets to me. I am an avid soccer player, and the thought of someone -anyone- not being allowed to play over something so stupid angers me to no extent. I am a female, and I am the kind of person that hurts others on the field. I'm the bigger, more aggressive player, and you don't here people saying I don't have the right to play. By their logic, Jazz should have more of a right to play than I...Why can't they see that?
COME ON MAN. LOOK AT THOSE BIG ASS EARS, THOSE ARE BOYS EARS. NO BOOTY EITHER. ANY BOY CAN PUT ON A BUNCH OF MAKEUP, A DRESS AND PRETEND TO BE A GIRL, BUT IT DOES NOT MAKE THEM ONE. WHY ARE YOU PEOPLE SO FUCKED IN THE HEAD? NO STRAIGHT MAN WILL MARRY THIS BOY EVER. HE IS GONNA HAVE A HARD AND FUCKED UP LIFE JUST BECAUSE OF HIS ABUSIVE EVIL BRAINWASHING PARENTS!!!
AND WHY IN ALL OF HIS PICTURES IS HE TRYING SO HARD TO POSE LIKE A GIRL? AND IS HIS POSES SEXUAL? MAYBE THE DAD IS BANGING HIM!
@InsideJokesloll It was nice to see other parents of the girls(her teammates) stand up for her. I am not sure how much weight that has but if collegiate programs here already allow transgender young adult play sports in their desired sex, then why not let this happen in a tweens (pre-teen) program? Besides just look at her compared to the other players, she is so petite.
her parents are incredible :)

This just shows how rude America can be. If she was in Canada, she'd be able to play no problem.

@InsideJokesloll there isn't much of a cultural difference between the USA and Canada. She'd have the same problems there, unfortunately.
