I'm looking for a band that was for definite operating in the 90's. They were fronted by a woman lead singer who had suffered from szicophrenia. They were an American band. I would describe their music as indie. Anybody have any ideas?

@Beckonor I checked out those bands, no its not them. They weren't as heavy as those bands, she was also a brunette and maybe a bit older than those singers. I'm sure her name was something like Christine Hershy or something like that but i put it into the search engine and nothing came up so I maybe wrong about the name.
