Hello, did anyone here emulate this game and use a 360 controller to play? i have been trying to map the classic controller buttons in the emulator for hours without success! (since the game doesn't support GCN controllers)

@TheRussianReversal I use my 360 controller. You have to go under Wiimote > Input Source = Emulated Wiimote. Then hit Configure below. Ignore all the buttons there, and click the Extension drop-box to the right, select Classic.

Then hit configure and map your 360 controller as desired.

Just remember, for games that support both GC and Classic Controllers(Brawl, Etc) you might want to either disable your Wiimote or Gamecube controller as there may be conflicts with Port 1.

@kinorai hmm... there's more weapons you can use other than the slow great sword.. and don't base the game on the way this guy plays lol he's not the best I've seen. Try it out yourself and then decide. It's a hard game to play but once you learn how to it's very rewarding, especially if you have friends to play with, or if not there's the online play.

you dont choose weapon classes as such you kill monsters and carve them to get materials, you start out with shit weapons of every type, say i was to upgrade one of them bone katana(a crap long sword) i wanted to upgrade it into a Fire Wyvern Sword(a better longsword) i would need to kill and carve some monsters, the items i would need to get for that long sword are as follows, 5 rathalos shells, 5 Rathian shells and 3 flame sacks, so i would need to kill some rathalos and rathians

@Mr12toe Weapon class? There's no weapon class in monster hunter unless they changed it. It's supposed to be blademaster & gunner. That's it. If you're a blade master I would assume you can use the longsword, greatsword, shield & sword, hunting horn, lance & the slash axe unless they took one of em out. And if you're a gunner you can use a heavy bowgun, light bowgun and a bow. I hope you have no Idea what you're talking about because if they changed it Immona be mad or something.

Sword And Shield's power is greatly decreased, to the extent that Great Swords can defeat Monsters much faster, even if they come from the same monster's materials.

That said, Sword and Shield definitely has it's uses, because there's no dual swords in Tri they're going to be the weapon of choice to screw an enemy's Leg's and knock them over, while a hammer user gets the head to knock them out, and then have a Long Sword or Great Sword user to get the tail off and cause serious raw damage.

You have to go into the wii controller options and enable the numchuck. Doesn't matter though since you won't make it past the character creator anyway.
