That should not happen no matter what modifications have been done to the engine. I'm sure the guy rebuilt it with aluminum pistons. The people at the machine shop did not bore the block correctly to give enough room for the aluminum pistons to expand, this guy should have the machine shop buy him a new set of pistons and bore it right. I would not run it anymore. Most all A's that are used for pulling now days have 50hp atleast.
