Umm... don't almost all platformers have vertical scrolling? There are quite a few games where you can look down by crouching. I think the reason early Mega Man games didn't have vertical strolling was becouse of the limitations of the NES.
I honestly don't see this as being any worse than the Gameboy Megaman games. At least the graphics are better, it's in color, and it doesn't run in slow motion.
I think US Gold also made those Indiana Jones games that UrinatingTree ripped on.
I've got two Game Gears, and both have problems with their screens. And here's a perfect example of how even good games get dumbed down on the system anyway.
surely a remake of a magaman game

So the game was outsourced to some obscure US company? No wonder it's complete crap. The music and sound is horrible. The graphics are good though.
Mega Man 3, 4, and 5 are my favorite Mega Man games.

This game is MEH--it's ripped off of its NES counterparts. The Dr. Wily level is not even original, it's Quickman's lair from MMII (NES).

At 4:08 I knew just how you feel! This is why I liked the charge up in Megaman 4 alot more!

The only game Mega didn't lose his charge when getting hit in was Megaman 4. Just thought I'd mention that.

So it's zoomed in and copied levels. Guess I'm not missing anything.

play it on psp using SMSpsp with the "rewind" function. It makes the game actually playable.

Nice job making short work of that boss. Yeah, this adaptation definitely looks problematic, but it's nowhere as horrific as the DOS games...
Also: pew pew pew!

The gameboy ones were developed by Capcom, so yeah, they are worth playing.
